Off cause it dose not really matter how much you invest but what matters his much patient do you have to wait in selling of your investment, buying at January and selling it off for a cheap price or lost out of fear is no investment and buying at April and holding your investment until the price is above your cost price before selling is an investment.

It's easier said than done. Imagine that you buy now with 10k and it dips till like 1k within next few weeks? You simply can't time the market, although if you have some experience or knowledge about it you can spot few pumps, such as the one in december because at all the news that were covering btc and then people started buying in because of hope to profit fast. You can surley spot these kind of things but you don't know exact point the dip/high level will be.

It still matters since high risk = high reward and everyone here should be aware with the risks they're going in to because some users don't care until they start losing money. People who bought before when it was $10,000 can still recover by not selling any bitcoins they bought and instead look at the long term which ranges from a year to a decade. Its hard to predict the value of each period even after analyzing bitcoin and other crypto's growth trend in CMC.  The right time you invest when the value is too low, one would certainly gain a lump of turn over. Better to wait when the peak value is too high and the value comes down. Watch out until the value comes too low though its hard. Every year do have a different price slot each month and we can not just predict that this would be sure to go and invest.

Both matters. Timing in a volatile market probably matters just as much as the amount you invest, though.

Thing is with prices falling in this bear market, you need to time your entry point extremely well if you want to maximize your profit. And sometimes it can be a difference of several times, and the profit/losses can add up pretty quickly. If you invest a lot at the start of a fall only to panic sell later, that does no good either. In fact that's even worse than investing nothing as it ends up being a losing trade for you.

Yes i would have to agree with this. People who have been in the cryptoworld for quite some time now could probably attest to this. We already know when its up or down. But to those who are new investors would probably not understand how it works. The minute they heard about bitcoin moulding instant millionaires they put out their money and said "i want to buy bitcoin" without really understanding what bitcoin is.

I agree with you but to be precise it about takes risks?.
If we go back in time to 2010, no one will buy your bitcoins "sirius sold 5000 bitcoins for 5$ only" but now anyone ready to pay more than 7,000$ for 1 bitcoin.
So if you invest 7,000$ in 2010 you will get much higher profits than you invest in 2013, 2018 or 2020.
But why, because the first members took risks, they made huge profits.

Most of the predictions are just speculative and no proper analysis but some are good with these. I don't add any problem to my mind just because of the market. The main reason most people always say you should invest what you cannot afford to lose is so that when times like this come, it would be easy for you to discard what is going on and move on with your daily life. The fact is you cannot time the market, you can only decide to stay careful but at the same time, you still have to play it with wisdom.

A lot of people who bought into FOMO may not have, but the truth is everyone had the perception of bitcoin to the moon, with nothing actually driving the demand except speculations and that was the bad thing but this does not mean in the nearest future, the previous ATH, will not end up being the future bottom.
