I don't think I can accept bitcoin as a salary unless I have another stable job, because bitcoin is unstable and risky. And companies paying bitcoin should atleast done it legally because I don't think government will allow that.

A company did an interesting social media experiment on people's acceptance of cryptocurrency as a method of payment for salary.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vcGUeDlnLU&t=30s

Looks as though it could possibly have been staged by the company (I don't think so??), but the results seemed similar to what I would expect if it was genuine. And I think it is actually a clever way of promoting their token sale, more potential to go viral than other promotional videos I've seen. Anyway, personally I think I would be happy to take cryptocurrency as at least part payment for salary, and depending on circumstances, the whole amount.

No, I think it is not a good idea. many people dont know about bitcoin and every country has currency. It is imposible, we cannt to fulfill our needs with it.

Why is it not a good idea? It's not like you're forced to accept it in cryptocurrencies anyway. Companies/sites/organizations would probably just make it an option anyway; it's very unlikely for them to make you accept bitcoin mandatorily. If you didn't want to accept crypto then you're pretty much unaffected anyway.

I think it's really hard to do that because not all people are doing bitcoin so it's hard to give them a paid in bitcoin. Then the value of bitcoin is not stable.

Being paid using crypto currency is good and innovative but in terms of value of crypto this is not good because of the huge down to its value in just a couple of days. This is so risky because if your salary is 500dollars and paid with crypto that time then after an hour your 500 dollars became 300 dollars then that is a huge lost.

It could be a great idea only if bitcoin will be acceptable worldwide. At this very moment there's only few countries who agree to used bitcoin. It would be helpful if it willwill be usable all over the world. I will agree with this concept cause I can't see any wrong with it. Before anything else it must be sure that bitcoin is safety and secure to avoid hacking of accounts.

for me, I would rather not accept my salary paid in bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized and no one knows when is price value of bitcoin going to be stable. Until now not all people have knowledgen in bitcoin so I think many issues will occur if any company will pursue this.

I wont accept bitcoin as salary because i dont want to risk my month of work for a digital currency that is not stable yet. It's not about i support bitcoin or not it is because of volatility maybe my salary of bitcoin that time was so low how would I pay my monthly dues. I'd rather invest my savings to Bitcoin than giving me bitcoin as salary there are much difference between that

actually if this way can be done as a whole. this can be profitable for its users, when the salary payments are made with crypto currency, and the price is pumped, it is very clear this becomes the point of profit when the salary of five. and best promotional steps for token sales

If I had a normal day job I would love to get paid in Bitcoin, but in a way I do indirectly get paid in Bitcoin doing the work I do now, which is freelancing for crypto currencies. I hope that more and more mainstream businesses, especially the more high tech ones start thinking about using Bitcoin as a payment options, especially if they are outsourcing work to others in different countries. I would like to also see other major digital currencies as an option too, maybe someone wants to get paid in Monero or LITECOIN also, you never know.

Well i am from a third world country and bitcoin is not widely accepted by business entities in my country so i would say no. But if i do live in a developed country, say Japan, then i would readily agree with the deal.

I think that could be possible for some people but in my case as long as bitcoin is more stable now and no more bearish dips I will not oppose on it. That could be a good idea in which case bitcoin is not limited to it's growth then most likely we will be having a progressing salary by then. Another consideration that should be part of the deal is that the administration of the company should make a sort of assurance that the salary will not be hacked by any hackers
that could be address.

That is a foresight for a 21st century working salary. The integration of bitcoin in order to pay the goods and services can be achieved right now and in the near future. But I think it will do by a lot of firms and companies if the bitcoin will become stable and workers can access in cryptocurrency.

It sounds like cash will lose its function and I do not think it will happen, I think people will find it difficult when they shop for everyday purposes because it takes a long time to process transactions as well as unstable bitcoin values.

Nope I wouldn't do it because it's just too risky for me. I might end up with less money at the end of the week or month. I don't feel like gambling with my salary which my livelihood depends on.

Interesting but they're not the first one to do it, long back i had posted how a company gifted it top performers with a bitcoins.

Currently the situation is grim, even if the company's and employees would love it, the government doesn't and it's sad.

All over the globe it seems like a witchhunt against bitcoins and that's sad, they're now keen to launch a centralised crypto which shall fail, we'll make it fail. I'm sure the government will nudge the corporate to give that as a part of the salary.

I think if a company will pay salary through bitcoin it will be advantageous to them since they can prevent bank transfer charges. But a lot to consider in the side of employee. 1) Not all employees have an idea what is cryptocurrency is. - company needs to conduct a seminar first. 2) The time to receive the salary in fiat. In bank, once employee received they can instantly withdraw the money. In, cryptocurrency there are several steps in order to get the money. 3. Salary amount - cryptocurrency price is highly volatile. Therefore if they will not convert immediatley their salary there will be a possibility of losing.

I think it is going to take a while for this to work.
There are several aspects which will need time:
1. Government
There is a regulation regarding a minimum amount paid salary for each worker.
Since the amount is stated in the local currency, it means that every month employee will receive different amount of coin.

2. Employee
Currently many people still don't have a clue about what bitcoin is.
With the current news stated that the price of bitcoin is declining, many people will reject this new idea

3. Technology
Most companies are already use bank as a institution to pay the salary.
I don't know whether there is any service yet, which allow the salary to be distributed in a form of a coin.
Lots of companies will have to change their salary system, which mean more money need to be invested.

4. Only company which used bitcoin in their daily business will prefer to pay their employee with bitcoin.
And there is not much of this type.

Conclusion:
Yes, i think it's possible for a company to pay the salary in bitcoin, but I think not all of the salary will be paid in bitcoin.
Part of the salary will still be paid in a local currency.

Me too I don't like to put my family at risk, look at how much the price was dropped from last 3 months, suppose if I received my salary in Bitcoins what will be my position now. If you are single then you can take a risk it will not affect much of your life but if anybody depends on your salary better never choose this option.

hmm, its look not good right now because if they paid salary with their own cryptocurrency i think it will be risky if the price of the cryptocurrency is not stable and the price is going down and going up in a second its will be risky to their salary, maybe it will decrease their salary if the price of crypto is going down

That is big risk associated with getting paid in BTC per month. Most of the people have fixed installments to pay per month which is planned according to their monthly salary. If they get paid in BTC and the prices had crashed recently, this could affect the monthly expenses.

Bitcoin should be given for bonus payments. Most of the people keep the bonus in banks for emergencies or to get some interest. If they keep it in  bitcoins, they can expect huge returns like 10 x in an year. This means that they will get additional amount which may be more than yearly salary.
