It is a bit hard because bitcoin.is volatile meaning the value is not fixed . it will affect the amount.of salary of one person. eepecially if it will decrease after you have recieved you salary. I think it is better to convert it to cash first.

Salary in bitcoin would be difficult especially for employees who have no idea what bitcoin is. It would be more advisable if the salary is in fiat money. There will be no hassle and you will not worry about the pump and dump of bitcoin. Many people will disagree about this.

I think with the current price of bitcoin and the market condition that is really unstable, people will not do it and the company owner also will not accept bitcoin for salary because the price of bitcoin is really unstable is the biggest reason why it's hard to implement bitcoin as a salary paid.

I would take it and make sure to save most of it and wait till it pumps up again like it did last year.
I think most of us would take it and going to save some of their bitcoin for the future.

If your living expense come from the salary of your job,i think paid in bitcoin will have a bad effect to your livelihood as the price is volatile.Sure you can live in luxury when the price is high, but when the price is at the bottom it sure will be hard.If you got side job, paid in crypto will be no problem.

I'd rather pay in Fiat. After all, the cryptocurrency does not have a stable rate. And it is not taxed. As you know, the salary is taxed. Salary in bitcoin is beneficial for the employer. Thus it evades from payment of taxes. If bitcoin will be paid any incentives or bonuses it is quite acceptable.

Salary paid in bitcoin? Why not? Thats okey for me
If i get paid with bitcoin i will accept that and i will change into fiat as soon as possible
Why?
Because unstable price of bitcoin was the main reason for me

A company did an interesting social media experiment on people's acceptance of cryptocurrency as a method of payment for salary.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vcGUeDlnLU&t=30s

Looks as though it could possibly have been staged by the company (I don't think so??), but the results seemed similar to what I would expect if it was genuine. And I think it is actually a clever way of promoting their token sale, more potential to go viral than other promotional videos I've seen. Anyway, personally I think I would be happy to take cryptocurrency as at least part payment for salary, and depending on circumstances, the whole amount.
For me, it is alright. As long as they pay what is my salary in our currency. They need to adjust when it comes to that. If bitcoin price changes, they need to change also my salary convertible to the salary stated in the job offer. For example, the offer is $ 500 but in bitcoin, they should pay the amount in bitcoin. So the salary must be fixed.

Exactly.

And it is not taxed.
Not true. Unless you're intentionally evading taxes, which is probably frowned upon by your government regardless of the currency involved.

I didnt watched the video but I assume it would be something a social experiment about what would be the outcome and reaction if someone is working on a day job and recieve Btc as a payment or salary.
I dont think someone would risk their primary source of income to a very volatile form of currency. Like in my case, I have a monthly amortazation and bills to pay. I rather have a fixed rate than risking my living. I can somehow take certain percentage from my salary to invest in cryptocurrency.

Most of us will only take bitcoin as our payment over any others and getting paid in token is not good. But we still going to convert the token into fiat then it is okay to get paid in any tokens or crypto currency just after got paid. But if you are asking me I will take only bitcoin,LTC and ethereum as my payments others will not be accepted. Bitcoin payment adaptation is not a bad thing and in-fact it is cool, bitcoin salaries and wages must be also constantly change according to market value so it is fair enough exchange rates.

If i am given that kind of prerogative, i will kindly request my employer to have it 50-50. 50% in bitcoin and 50% in fiat. That way i have something to spend for everyday needs and at the same time i have an investment to keep. Win-win situation, right?

getting paid in cryptocurrencies in general specially in a token is not the same as getting paid in bitcoin!

altcoins and worst of all tokens are not at all good for payment because everything you think is the reason why you don't want to accept bitcoin as your salary is even worse when it  comes to them including volatile price and lack of acceptance my merchants.
on top of it, the tokens are not a stand alone cryptocurrency. they rely on another platform which then can add a lot of problems to the equation.

Yeah. I thought what OP means by cryptocurrency is bitcoin, but I was wrong.

I myself will not agree if my salary is paid in other coin unless bitcoin because they are totally different. I prefer bitcoin.

im in total support of this,i guess its time now to spread bitcoin even in none believers and those normal employees, for them to realize how important this is to their daily living though theres lot of things to consider before this one will be implemented.but i know one day after all people have come to learn this then they will accept bitcoin and together with all cryptocurrencies in this community.thats my pointof view regarding this matter

I don't want to get paid in bitcoins. Regular income in Fiat to be predicted. This is probably the most important advantage of Fiat. It seems to me that cryptocurrencies are more suitable for deposits. You are sure that your money will not be arrested. Bitcoin has an anti-inflationary mechanism. But every day it is difficult to use cryptocurrency because of volatility.

hmm, its look not good right now because if they paid salary with their own cryptocurrency i think it will be risky if the price of the cryptocurrency is not stable and the price is going down and going up in a second its will be risky to their salary, maybe it will decrease their salary if the price of crypto is going down

Yes, i agree with you bro. if if only this could become stable or if there will be a GAIN/LOSS RATE computation, i think it would be fair. Smiley

Thats a good Idea but I think it is not right because cryptocurrency losses and increases its value every second. It would make the person who got the salary as crypto coins to lose money without doing anything. Crypto is like gambling, you invest money that you can afford to lose, salary are money that you earn to use for your everyday living you can't afford.
