Going through the whitepaper, I came across these smart contracts, what are these exactly and how exactly are they going to help freelancers or entrepreneurs?

So, I haven’t read the whitepaper but I have an idea of how do smart contracts work, it’s just that a smart contract can’t be altered. So it’s immune to any third party changes. I haven’t much idea how it’ll help freelancers.

Well, in the freelancing world the biggest problem that arises is disputes between client and freelancers due to unclear contracts. Maybe a smart contract is the solution to these disputes? I’m just guessing

You’re absolutely right about the dispute part. One of the main things that keeps people away from the world of freelance is these unclear contracts. I know so many people that have given up on their freelance dreams just because of this issue.

This seems so cool. Freelance problems will easily be solved by utilizing these technologies, I’m glad someone had the mind to come up with this.

So smart contracts are unchangeable, making them immune to any frauds but what if there’s a sudden accident or some delay in the project, wouldn’t that then spoil the freelancer’s profile?

Come to think of that, that’s totally possible. A justifiable delay might negatively affect a freelancers profile because of the smart contract and its immutability......

I agree, out of curiosity i wanna ask, who would have the possession of the work? The freelancer or the client? If it’s the client the freelancer still doesn’t have proper proof of their work.
Hi 😊, your question is very much legitimate, to overcome this issue the work submitted by the freelancer to client will be cryptographically stored and the client will have the access to either make it available to the public or not. This will make sure there aren’t any disputes within the freelance-client relationship and hopefully help the freelancer in having proof and ownership of their work.

So I’m interested in GigTricks as a freelancer and entrepreneur. I came across the point of sale, I read through it but I’m not able to understand it fully. What is it?

Just normal payments? But then where does the legitimacy come into, I mean that is GigTricks main selling point isn’t it?

I see the presale is still running for another 19 days and I see the purchase has a discount with a very good percentage for investment. https://www.gigtricks.io/

No not normal payments, you’ve got the wrong idea. The payments will be with gigbit tokens so it’s actually very legitimate and secure

Oh okay, that makes it much more clear and better. But is this system only for payments between freelancers and their clients? Or does it have a bigger scope?

Hey there, in the freelancing world the major challenge that arises are disputes between client and freelancers due to contracts, most of the contracts are verbal or simply written up as quotes or bids and can be altered by unethical parties creating issues that may endanger the money spent or the entire project. To overcome this, GigTricks has introduced smart contracts. When a freelancer and client agree on a work product, timelines for completion, and fee amounts, this agreement can be entered into a block where it is unchangeable; this eliminates the majority of contract disputes and provides full transparency.

I hope it’s bigger than just that. Because the freelance economy isn’t just limited to a client asking for a project and the freelancer delivering it. There are variations to what you’d call freelance services.

GigTricks’ plans and ambitious nature is really great but something what bothers me is the long term plan for it. How are they going to deal with it?

What do you mean by the long-term thing exactly? And plus right now long-term planning shouldn’t really be an issue as it’s still the start for gigtricks. I mean they’re quite new
