ELT Listed, FCC and CE certification? Prove it BFL... prove it. http://www.intertek.com/marks/etl/The ETL Listed Mark is proof of product compliance (electrical, gas and other safety standards) to North American safety standards. Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s) in 50 states and Canada and retailers accept the ETL Listed Mark as proof of product safety. Manufacturers are choosing ETL because it gives them a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Today, the ETL mark is featured on millions of products sold by major retailers. What does the ETL Mark mean when displayed on my product? The ETL Listed Mark indicates to distributors, retailers and customers that your product has been tested by Intertek and found in compliance with accepted national standards. http://www.intertek.com/directories/If you would like to report an ETL Listed product that does not appear to be compliant, or would like to report an ETL Listed product that has been involved in an accident, go here: http://www.intertek.com/contact/inquiry/?cid=1210&pid=305 and we’ll address your inquiry as soon as possible. Confirmation: W3ITK-2013-11-09T20:36:59.6145218-05:00 <--- waiting for a reply from ETL on whether BFL and the Monarch have sent this board in for certification. My guess. No it hasn't and no they have nothing to send.

Wtf are those tiny dies?
That sure is a weird design. Good luck getting all of those tiny packages to make good thermal contact with a monolithic heatsink. Each group will be putting out a nominal 175W TDP, and that's *if* they hit their energy efficiency target. They've not done to well in that area historically, to put it mildly.

Those are not the Monarch chips. Those are resistors for electrical testing. They don't actually have the silicon for these boards they are building.

Ah, that makes sense. Testing is a good thing.

Thats 1 realy crap looking card. Who would think of suchs a design. Vga card mining is gone for some time now and they are going retro on the design.
But we already knew bfl had no vision longer than there nose. Who builds a card that costs more than the rest of the manufactures and has the rep to produce shit.
They already delayed shipment , when the first comes out it will not even mine 0.05 btc a day....

Can you please point me to a datasheet of these test resistors?

Hmm, looks familiar. Lol made my night with that one. I cant imagine ordering a Monarch. I see it being late and them offering "upgrades" or shipping mini-rigs after half a year after deadline.

I don't know... looks good to me and a sign of real progress, even if BFL are sure to miss their November 2013 date for shipping the first Monarch to end customers. BFL have shagged their customers again and again but they can deliver product (albeit at glacial speed) and will deliver Monarchs some time in early 2014.
