Poll: What year will Bitcoin reach $10,000?

I call $10k by 2016, but if we keep rising 10 times per year it will be a lot sooner than that.

Its 2016 and it looks like OP was too hopeful. I say 2020. after the halvings occur.

I also hope for the 2020 or maybe it occur very sooner, not necessarily a permanent increase but maybe it reach there as a short time spike, or maybe it reach there for a certain period of the year just like in 2013 it reached to $1200

adoption is just the first (big) step towards the bitcoin success and the real price rise that we are all expecting. but the important second step is the regular people accepting bitcoin and stop with their worrying about the price and losses and that i think will happen only with less volatility.

Yes for its regular circulation all over the world it is needed that people adopt it and stay with it to support it, in this way it will be established and will be stable in value at a high rate.

Its really hard to say that bitcoin will reached that kind of amount because its even hard to get bitcoin to 1000$ even with the coming years,on the halving can take major effect on the price of bitcoin.

right...price right now just keep coming back to $400+.. Even after halving, I think the price would still go down little by little... So, $10,000 might not happen even after 2020..

But if we look at the 2013 we will notice that only within a few months the price of bitcoin reach from $400 to $1200, so it is possible in 2016 also. Just believe on bitcoin you will not be disappointed.

back then in 2013 when this thread was created the price was around $330. in that same month the price reached an all time high of +$1100!! op's feeling that the price would rise significantly was right, but not as much as he was thinking. if you are looking at how easy the price reached +$1100 then a lot people would have a fantasy about seeing the price reach $10,000. the sky was the limit back then.

right...price right now just keep coming back to $400+.. Even after halving, I think the price would still go down little by little... So, $10,000 might not happen even after 2020..

i really doubt that the price might grow that much in just one year if you are talking about the increase of 10 k dollars in year 2016

to be honest it might reach a new all time high once again but ten thousand dollars is just simply impossible to reach right now and i hope that it will be reached in at least 5 years or so

i agree, $5000 seems more reasonable than $10000 per coin.
but both of them require a much longer time to reach the mass adoption and all the problems with block size get fixed

Yeah I think its not that easy to reach there as it will take a long time to reach there, if user adaption is higher then $5k is pretty possible in future.

Well, even after 2020, that price is still far from coming true...price keeps on dropping each time it goes to its ATH..So probably it will be longer than 2020 before it came true..But, lets hope that after 2020 everyone still has their interest in collecting bitcoin..

I am a bit wary to speculate on this matter. Because we had huge leap of price in the past.
And if you asked someone in 2012 (when bitcoin price were around $15) how much he thinks bitcoin will cost in 2013 I guess no one would say back then that we reach more than $1000 for 1 BTC.
It will be hard but maybe similar situation could happen one more time in the future?

It all the users of bitcoin use it as a normal currency and do not hold it for just trade then it will reach to a good high value and will be stable. So we have to work for that purpose.

Well, even after 2020, that price is still far from coming true...price keeps on dropping each time it goes to its ATH..So probably it will be longer than 2020 before it came true..But, lets hope that after 2020 everyone still has their interest in collecting bitcoin..

No I dont even think that it will be ever reach the 10.000, if you are now looking at the value you can see that the value is not even rising so that is also not that good.
It will be nice of course that it will reach the 10.000, but the chance is really small.

The price will be be around $10,000 in about 10 years. It is quite difficult for the price to be that high in 2020.

i am sure that we won't see 10000$ price very soon,price now is 430$ and bitcoin have to be very popular and everyone should use it to see such a large price, maybe if some countries will use bitcoin as currency, maybe then we will see 10 000$, but that won't happen anytime soon anyway

Indeed, It will take sometime for sure but I think it will be in around 10 years, honestly its not to predict of course because the bitcoin is not predictable at all.
Maybe it will even never happen you never know what will happen with it and its not sure if it will even survive all this years.

I vote for you comment as i voted Bitcoin will never reach $10,000. Of course i might be wrong or even would like to see that price, but would be biased. The logic tells otherwise, as soon, as you said, price reaches a certain level, a massive dump begins. And so on and on and on, while new and better technology arises.
