Poloniex is still good for me, I trade easily and never experienced any problem. A lot of good exchanges out there but you have to choose where you want to stay. I believe poloniex will continue to improve its system and make more investors in the future.

the main problem with polo is too long for your account to activate, I submitted my requirements last January it only approved this week. plus some withdrawal "error" issues will make the user switch to other exchanges. it's their fault why they slowly dying.

No, Poloniex isn't dead. I still use and patronize it. It was my virgin exchange. The patronage draught Polo is witnessing right now is what every unresponsive business/company faces after a long stretch of customers dissatisfactions and complaints. The Polo case should serve as a control warning to other over bloated exchanges too.

Mine got activated within 24hrs when I registered early last year. I guess I really was one of the blest of Poloniex.

Though I haven't heard of anyone talking about Polo - the only time I do hear it though is people complaining about it. Is Polo dead? I know at one point it was controlling most of the market.

Polo is not dead but most of us already left Polo because to many issue/ problem about customers transaction and doesn't have solution about it. Actually Polo is good exchange but don't know why they lost their best performance and finally lost their customers trust. For now Binance is better than Polo, trust me.

Maybe last year it was considered as one of the best place to do your trading. But personally, I moved somewhere else because of many unresolved tickets and I don't want to wait and experience that on my end.

But with Circle acquiring, I would like to anticipate what will be changes. I heard that they are going to hire competent support, it but remains to be seen. Trading exchanges now are in for a tough competition with Binance and OKex moving to Malta to keep their position. So its gonna be exciting what will be Polo or Circle move then to cope with the demands of traders.

Yeah, It is dead to me since last summer, when they decided to freeze big amounts of ETC my friends unfortunately hold there. For a few months the tokens was locked in withdraw mode with zero answers from support. I am suprised that people stilll using Polo... maybe they avoid any problems and just don't care. I only hope that Circle aquisition will set a new stardards there.

I read the comments of other users saying that support from the Poloniex team is prolonged and may not receive support, I wonder if this is true? I find that Poloniex was one of the best exchanges in the world until the end of 2017 it was defeated by the new trading floors are more powerful.

Is it truly dead? I never liked the exchange. Its problem started when it made accessibility difficult and selective of browser. It was really difficult. Even with that, it will log one out just like that.

Hitbtc? That is full of crap there. I would rather use poloniex than that website.
Binance have been talked mostly, that may be one of the reason that poloniex is losing some of its customers.
Updates, and support is needed with poloniex. I got into one problem there and resolved in 2 days. What if you need it badly or you are in a hurry to reach that token before it gets a higher value.
Binance have that speed when it comes to customer support and also there is not much issue with them, that is why their customer support will be always open.

As far as I know Poloniex has been recently acquired by a corporation somehow connected to Goldman Sachs. I guess they will probably do a lot of changes for Poloniex, perhaps even rebranding it.

I personally think not much will happen with Poloniex itself, and that the most likely scenario will indeed be that Circle will end up rebranding that exchange. It may even be that they were only interested in the SEC's approval/registration and Poloniex's trading engine to have that later on applied to their own trading platform. It wasn't all that long ago where Goldman Sachs was throwing around with their plans to build their own trading desk, and it might be something they will actually work on later on. It's impossible to think that Circle will be used as proxy to purchase an exchange for $400 million that is only losing importance in this market -- there definitely has to be more to it.

Well i'm not really sure since so far, my account there has been fully accrssibl. I even have etc and digibytes stored in the wallets from them. Probably for some people but for me, not dead yet.

I don't think Poloniex is dead, just going thru a bad moment.

There were some issues with withdraws and unanswered tickets and everyone moved to Bittrex.
More recently Bittrex is also under the radar due to Binance and KuCoin.
This two won the market due to their volume of new coins added.

Recently Bittex had done a layout change of the hole site, don’t know if more news will come!

Also, Poloniex was bought by a company that's part of the Goldman Sachs group, so let's see what will change!

I still have some assets in Poloniex, but I don't trade there for quite long time.

I have heard that a company named "Circle" has bought Poloniex but I haven't seen anything that had change after that.

I would say definitely, since they don't seem to give a damn about the problems being faced by their customer's on a daily basis. Tons of unanswered support tickets, missing deposits/withdrawals, long waiting time for account verification all have led to them being basically out of the league in the bitcoin exchange scene. The only hope I see with them is the acquisition done by Circle at the moment, as its said that they have hired more employees for support and development.

Poloniex is not dead yet but had been loosing a lot of customers because when the exchange site got popular last year and had many issues, they forgot their customer service issue to a point that they did not care about the customers need. They didn't give a damn just as long as they earned a lot, and soon lessen their customers. Although I still have a couple of coins left on this exchange site, I have not made any transactions since last year because of the issue.
