Is there a restriction in receiving PMs? I thought that there were no restrictions. It is just that when a PM gets sent from a newbie, a message also appears warning that the message sender is a newbie.

I don't believe that there are any restrictions. Just that you need to opt-in to receive from newbies unless you PM them first (in last 30 days).

It looks as if newbies can't send messages to newbies, and there is an option in the Hero profile that you have to enable ( or maybe disable ) to receive messages from newbies. I may have disabled it because I was starting to get spam. I wanted to be able to receive PMs from newbies on Talk Merit, but it looks as if I will have to wait for the next rank update to check if I can receive them.

By default high rank member get the warning message while newbie sent pm to them. Even high rank guys cannot able to send the text when the message option has been checked up for newbies as well.
They need to check it down first before they send the text.
Go to personal message options- Check the box says Allow newbies to send you PMs. Then click change profile.

I want to send a couple of PMs to newbies, and I can't do it from this account. I can't do it from Jet Cash either, as I've got newbies blocked there. Quite rightly, it says I can't send to them, as they can't reply. I wondered if I should wait to rank up to junior, or enable the option on Jet Cash ( which I don't really want to do ).

I'm starting to think that it might be easier to do it through the Talk Merit ticket system, but I wanted to confirm board membership.

Rank is irrelevant, you just have to change the setting.

I don't have the personal message options on this account. It's not a problem, I'll hang on until I get to junior, and send the messages then, or I'll use Jet Cash.

I obviously have a special account for Talk Merit, as it doesn't have that option/link. I'll wait for the next activity update, and I'll close this thread.
