Hello, I am looking forward to participate in the ICO, but dont have any Ethereum address. So should I create one. Does Ethereum address is necessary to receive and store your UTK tokens.

You need an etherum address o receive tokens and also to participate in airdrop, bounty, or icos
Moreover, you need an erc 20 supported etherum address and i urge you to use myetherwallet, metamask, trezor wallet or eidoo.

Have a good time trading and participating in icos

Most of the ICOs are based on erc20 tokens, which is why you should have one.You can create at myetherwallet.com if the ICO requires a wallet which supports erc20 tokens,do not be fooled by these fake websites always check the URL before creating a wallet address it is free to create so feel free to have one or more.

You would need an Ether erc20 address in order to be able to receive many ICO tokens. I believe in this upcoming ICO that aims to bring in the masses into crypto.

This will be the first arbitrage exchange that aims to bring the masses into crypto with their user-friendly UI, crypto education, and the first company offering individual insurance. The CTO has 40 years coding experience in the financial markets for exchanges. Definitely, keep an eye out for this one. Has solid tech, team, solves huge problem bringing the masses into crypto, and building a loyal community.

you do not have to have an ethereum wallet to participate in an ICO, you can use Bitcoin, and some ICO receive Ripple, DASH, BCH, BTG and even DOGE. Just start to search some ICOs who accept BTC and other altcoin

It is depends on the ICO you are joining,if the platform is ethereum based you should create one eth address.MEW would be the safest wallet online that is free and wont require you anything, check myetherwallet.com you should be able to create one easily! you cannot participate an ICO that is based in ethereum platform if you dont have ethereum address, same as the other platform like NEO,waves etc.

There is no way you can buy any altcoin without first of all having ETH address, because other then bitcoin and other coin that have their own personal wallet's most other operate on the ETH technology because it the wallet that support they coins. So you can buy or invest in new icos without having an ETH address most especially an ERC20 wallet which support tokens.

Why most projects want a ethereum address, is because they give you erc20 token through smart contract. If it is built on its own blockchain, or any other one, you don't need an ether address to receive the tokens.

If we are talking about ethereum base ICO that will require erc20 tokens, you wont be able to particiapte without any ethereum address, but if you are with other platforms you should research which tokens you are going to receive so that you can create the appropriate wallet for the tokens, because you wont receive your tokens without your wallet.  Grin

Yes you need the ETH address while you are investing into the ICO project. However you need it to receive the tokens but it is not mandatory to invest with the ETH payments. It depends on the ICO that you are investing into. In current scenarios there are many ICO's who are accepting the BTC, and Credit Card payments also. So you can leave that option behind. But you will still need the address to receive the tokens so you will need to create one. If you are having the chrome browser then you can get MetMask address very easily by installing the extension from chrome thus making it easier for you if you think its hard to manage.

Definitely NO,if you are talking about UTRUST ICO you wont be able to receive your tokens if you dont have any mew address, why mew? because myetherwallet is the most trusted wallet that you can have for free,it has been with our community for years witout any single problem occured that is why it is the most recommended wallet for ethereum or ethereum based tokens .

Why most projects want a ethereum address, is because they give you erc20 token through smart contract. If it is built on its own blockchain, or any other one, you don't need an ether address to receive the tokens.

Basically ethereum address is like any other is simply random string derived from private key. As tokens are from smart contracts and the only way to use ethereum platform is to have private and public key (address) key pairs then it is kinda must have. Because in case of ERC20 tokens they will be sent to your address for you to have access to them.

If an ICO is lunching on some other platform such as Waves, Neo or any other then you will have their address.

To generate an address and it's private key shouldn't be big problem. You have mobile and desktop apps made as lightweight wallet for you to be able to use your tokens with ease. If you want more security can always get hardware wallets or heck even create and print your paper wallet offline.

It will be a little difficult to achieve this especially if the ICO used the Ethereum platform to launch, most ICOs run on Ethereum technology and will need an ether wallet address for payments

UTK tokens are erc20 based tokens which is running into ethereum's platform which is why you need to create a wallet which supports erc20 tokens, and in your case myetherwallet.com would be the best choice as it is free and the most trusted erc20 based wallet of the community for years ! i have been using it without any problem.

If you are planing to go on tradings you can get an ethereum wallet in that exchanging site, especially for that utk if its true that you have that token. But if you are planning to join in the ICO you automaticaly creat a ethereum wallet that not coming from exchanges. You need to creat a new one. Best to used is coming from MEW

You have to creat a ethereum address even if you planning to invest for that token. Or maybe it depend in the CEO of that project sometime it its okay to use a kind of Ethereum wallet come from exchanges but it is accually used that method in free sales only..

Nope you cant, and as far as i know UTK ICO has already ended what are you talkinag about? If its UTRUST it was ended few months ago and you could be joining fake ICOs so be careful, ethereum based projects are required to have erc20 wallets, which is why mew is the most commonly used by the community as it can handle both ethereum and erc20 tokens.

If it's a ETH ERC20 token then yeah, you definitely need an ETH address to receive the ICO tokens.

These days all ICOs will tell you to pay and receive on the ETH network, unless otherwise specified.

It's not a very hard process to get your ETH address, you just go onto myetherwallet, create a new wallet, write down the seeds and you should be ready to go. If you're looking to participate in ICOs in the future, you're better off creating an ETH address now.
