I may suggest investing in ethereum and btc, since they have  dominant position in the market. Bitcoin has far surpassed the expectation of the investors and it is available in most exchanges. Ethereum on the other hand, has been used by most popular projects as tokens in their platform.

I think you should consider buying inexpensive coins for a further rise. In addition, there are other ways, if you feel that they are on your shoulder then, look for different projects and try your luck.

Buying inexpensive coins, but has a slim chance to pump in the future is useless.
For most of the beginners, they should invest in the top 10 or 20 coins for more ensured long term profit. One thing to look for when investing into a specific coin is, the historical graph. You should look at the price movement of that coin whether its rising or dying.
