Good question, one of the first things I asked the insurance agent. Answer: I can make you the partial owner, Alcor also requires that too. For sure Alcor can be the owner, so I think you can too. This would not let me change the beneficiaries without the owner's (you and alcor) consent. Basically I'm coming here as I know that some of you are sitting on tens of thousands of coins, or more. That means you became millionaires virtually overnight. Money makes the world go around, and had I had such a windfall I would sure think of a good way to redistribute some (1-5%) of it. I would not ever donate a larger sum to any charity, but would find it more efficient to entrust it to someone who has a personal interest in improving certain things. For example me in the field of bacteriophages, or life extension. To me, life extension is the most important issue today. Edit: I also would love to film, which I had to give up after being forced to leave university in Hong Kong. |

chronic UTI. The bacteria (there are several) are pretty much normal flora in different parts of the body (like intestines). yeah, its my prostate and what I always get is "you are the first case I see this young and this bad". I have been through a lot of shit, even giving myself full infusion when I thought my insurance wouldnt pay. How often per day do you urinate? |

I have been through a lot of shit, even giving myself full infusion when I thought my insurance wouldnt pay. How often per day do you urinate? that would depend on how much I drink. Regardless, the urge to urinate is always there, unless on medications that suppress the infection. However, getting all of the bacteria right is really hard. you must match all the following criteria for a good chance at cure: - antibiotics effective in vitro - antibiotics that penetrate well into the prostatic tissue - that can be taken safely without much side effects in the long run, as any attempt at cure starts at 2 months - antibiotics that can be taken orally - also considering possible antagonism between antibiotics This leaves very few options, practically none. I am now on linezolid that costs over 100 USD per pill (insurance is trying to charge me back for all, as it is a preexisting condition), in combination with Faropenem(from Japan). This is well over my 15th course of antibiotics over the past years. |

Edit: Not sure why he's asking, but if I were to try to scam I would just go on reddit and post thatmy dog/cat has cancer. I would have the money in no time. |

yes, but I'm fighting them as I believe they should cover. So as of yet I assume I still have insurance. The problem is, it is limited in many ways, even if they accept prior insurance coverage (I really had that). What I have to pay is the deductible, plus co-pay + part of medicine. Even these add up though. Their claim is still open, and although I did provide them with official documents stating I had insurance, it is not in English. So not sure what they will do with it. What I really need money for is what would not be covered anyways. It appears that the traditional healthcare system is unable to help me unless I have the kind of money and influence I don't (like being a donor to the hospital), so I would have to step outside and do what needs to be done: Either phages which I know work, or a safe antibiotic IV course in a safe environment. Antibiotic treatment would cost me with a nurse about 300/day max, and phages would cost me 2500 per strain (for each strain of bacteria). Since I have a polymicrobial infection, this adds up, but I'm not sure what the final bill would be in this case. I would say 15000 tops. This whole thing is really complicated, but I can explain if you are interested and have the time. |

University of Washington and Arizona both specialize in your problem . I had the same thing 16 years ago and the docs in Arizona fixed me. Good luck i know life sucks in pain. I'm Canadian and probably spent 15 g between the two universities but in Canada they would just offer me another cipro bottle(for free)

UTI do not cross over into the prostate. You either have prostatitis or possible a renal calculi. Prostatitis needs the correct antibiotics, renal stone may need lithotripsy to break them up or you may suffer renal failure.
