What meaning community patch? If it in a public acces it means all people on ethOS start to use it.

If a windows version is released, the diff will skyrocket and totally annihilate any decent profit over the popular coins.
So we'd better keep this miner as a linux only.

Agreed. Its like what someone said earlier "windows is to a linux user as what Asic is to GPU"
Lyra2z is not good on Windows but excellent on Linux. Keeping on linux keeps profits up and
people who took the time to learn linux and get it right earns the right to benefit from this.

So man up, do some work and learn.

there are many ppl that cant use linux - me fpr example using water cooling and no software for linux which controls the settings (so in linux no fan controll = all fans off)

so you will be a illustrious circle that only wants to stay little to earn more - comprehensibly but...what if you where on our side and cant use it - of course you will understand and dont want to have a windows version  Roll Eyes

If I were on your side - then I would either try to learn how to use basic linux, or stick with whatever is profitable on Windows.
I don't like Linux either, but I learnt to use it just so I can run my rigs stable without caring about windows updates, blue screens or whatever else breaks.

I'm trying to install the operating system ( ubuntu 16.04.4 lts desktop ) on my computer:
Asus c6h
Ryzen 1600
4x rx vega 56
Samsung SM961

The result is that it crashes when installing with panic kernel .
ubuntu 16.04.4 lts desktop  crashes
Xubuntu 16.04 crashes

Any  idea what I can do to solve the problem ?
Another operating system that is compatible with tdxminer  and my pc ?

PS : My mining rig with AM2 and 4xRX 580 work perfect with the miner tdxminer ( ubuntu 16.04.4 lts desktop)

google translate

Thank you

Where exactly does it crash? because you mentioned it crashes on Ubuntu 16.04 but you also said the miner works perfect on Ubuntu 16.04 so I don't undersand. Also, are you making sure you installed the correct drivers? It may have something to do with that.

i open the terminal from it's location and enter "tdxminer -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://angrypool.com:20071 -u mywallet -p x"

Execute "chmod +x tdxminer" and then:
Quote
./tdxminer -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://angrypool.com:20071 -u mywallet -p x

Does anyone know if this miner will work if you install Ubuntu through Ubi (in order to dual boot with Windows)? Also, do any of the more experienced Linux user have a preference between vanilla Ubuntu and Mint?

So many "cgminer/4.9.0" with very high avg hashrate approaching on this algo. What's this? FPGAs are using this miner? Smiley
