Wondering if anyone know of DTube. My friend told me about it today and saw that they you can getg $$$ for videos. Also there isnt any ads or anything.

Anyone ever tried it ?

Dtube is a service that run over the Steemit blockchain. It is the same as Youtube without the ads and censorship of a centralized social network.

I think I heard about  DTube which is technically affiliated to Steemit social network. It is a more decentralized social platform devour of censorship which is common to social media platforms. I personal love the platform because you can earn money from posting your videos and having up votes.

I am not familiar with DTube but i'm pretty interested about it, maybe its better if I look for some information about it that can enlighten me and give me some knowledge because it is hard to trust nowadays and that is why we need to know the basic information about it just to make sure that its not like the other scam sites or etc. I'm actually looking forward to test it, I think its easy and great idea to earn money.

This looks like scam. I doubt a Dtube real representive here would give anyone username and private key on a public forum. This poster seems to be giving out a username and what looks like a private keys. I guess he expects his victim to login into his Dtube account and eventually earn him some steem or buy new Steem which he(the poster) could end up withdrawing.

The videos are really uploaded on decentralized network (blockchain) or only creators are receiving more money for their content because there is no intermediary? If yes, then what is the future of DTube when we have BAT token?

You may want to add the word "test account" in your previous comment. I understood what it was when I first read it but others like the person who claims that it's scammy may not get it.

Can you drop how many users you have right now? and what's the highest number of views in a single video?
Anyway, best of luck decentralizing the video/content creation industry. There are other platforms right now that are also challenging youtube like beatzcoin's vibravid.

I do not guarantee, but usually things like that will soon boom as long as they really provide good services and functions for users. I also want to know more about this

Yes, I used it. I don't like it over youtube, becasue the server seems not fast enough and there are many lacks of organizing tools for creators. However, it is built on a blockchain network. They said, it's decentralized but you can't upload anything you want if that violates their terms. A decentralized platform should not restrict us. So, don't see any advantage here, so not going to change my YouTube.

You're completely right. We updated the post to better show the account is a TEST account.

End of June 2019, we launched our new blockchain, Avalon, which distributes DTC (DTube Coin)
DTube now runs both on Steem and Avalon, inter-operable blockchains.

In 8 weeks, we already reached 11 228 accounts created (stats as of yesterday).
For the time being, testnet is only opened to steemians, which will receive 50% of initial supply if they claim their account (more information on https://twitter.com/DTube_Official).

Important: we plan to open test net very soon, in the coming weeks for anyone interested in Decentralized web and Dapps.

Never heard of Dtube. But I know Verasity. By using Verasity you can also win awards for the videos you watch. Both the broadcaster and the audience can win the VRA together. Moreover, the VRA token is listed on the Binance DEX.
