anyways i have between 1.0-1.4Ghash depending on how hard i push my rig, and right now i get ~.5BTC/24 hours

I will report how different my returns are after letting this run for 24 hours, what should i expect though?

You should let it run for 48 hours IMHO and it will depend on how many pools you run.

If you went from mining on a score based or SMPPS based mine expect increased variability in your rewards.  Give it at least a week to see the true returns from hopping.

@everyone talking about PPLNS I've coded the groundwork for a simulator and had it randomly generate 1,000,000 rounds today, I'll apply my algorithm and slight variations on that and see once and for all if it's harming efficiency. If it is, I'll just demote PPLNS completely to backup.

That really is dependent on how many pools you add. If you hop a single prop pool and a backup pool you'd get roughly 28% extra. If you add lots of prop pools it can even be over 100% extra (you'd double your income). Of course your luck and the pools' luck also play a role, a single mining day probably isn't enough for completely relevant data, especially considering some prop pools are very slow. Even so, you should still add them as hash rate doesn't really have an impact on your gain.

About SMPPS, I'll add a profile for that in the next version (in testing now) so you don't mine on those if they're unlucky.

I plan on hopping as many pools as possible within reason, I    've just finished setting everything up (registering workers on previously unused pools etc) and plan on "unleashing the beast" tomorrow. Before I was running 4 miners all at slush's pool or switching them between mtred and deepbit.

If anybody would like a .cfg for any pool that isn't in the archive I posted just post a link to it and I'll write a config file. The pools in the archive are by no means the only supported pools, if a pool displays the round shares and hash rate either in a JSON API or on a normal web page (that doesn't require a log in), then it can be hopped using CherryPicking.

Hey I was wondering in the poclbm.cfg , since I am running 4 GFX Cards what do i put for the "device" line? I have successfully got it running, but only on one of my cards. I am assuming I would just edit the line from

to "Device=0,1,2,3"

(my other cards are 1 2 and 3)

you need to have a Miner= line for each GPU. So you would need 4 lines with Miner= to engage all your cards.

The device line tells CP which device to start with. So if your system recognizes CPU as OpenCL device 0 you would put Device=1
If your system recognizes CPU as the highest number device you don't need anything on Device=
If you add an extra line beyond your cards it will spill over into CPU mining.

hawks5999 is right, you only need to change that if poclbm recognizes your CPU as device 0.
To add miners, add a Miner=account_name account_password line for each pool to specify the account for that miner to use. If the pool allows multiple miners on the same account the lines can be identical. Since you have 4 GPUs, you need 4 Miner= lines in each pool config files.
I say again, you need all 4 even if they are the same.

I do plan to add support for any command-line miner via config files, but right now it isn't high on the priority list. For now it works with poclbm.

I was going to suggest bitcoinpool but after reading their TOS I found then too much of and anal retentive control freeks.    They will freeze your account if there is no activity in a 28 day period, they will freeze your account if you are not "efficient", they will freeze your account if they feel like it  

Do NOT mine at poolmunity,  check out their Block History page, 400 valid shares, 35294 stales    I've done namecoin mining there, use to get ~10% stales.

Great I got it properly set up and am now hopping 10 pools. Thanks for the bit about the CPU overflow because that could have been bad!

I credit not having JRE errors on previously running a counter strike server with statistics ^_^
