So we've got folks on board for running EU, AU, and US group buys to ease shipping on Bitmain - all we need is a U1. Heeeeeeey Bitmain, any updates on the status of the hardware? Figure out those problems yet? We have produced a small batch of U1, and it can work now. However the yield is not so good, and we are solving this problem. Please wait several days again. Thanks very much. Since you appear to be posting for Bitmain... Any chance they're going to discuss resale/group buy/respond to PM's/etc. any time soon? Thanks for the update on the hardware, much appreciated, but some of us forum folks like to line our horses up so once the cart is ready we're set to go.

anyone have immersion cooling experience? Looking at the success of asicminer's efforts, it seems as though immersion cooling of antminer boards would not be difficult. A 12"x12"x10" tank could easily house 8-12 boards.

I will try the update. as of 14.5hrs operation for both units (Unit 1 has a v1 board and the v2 replacement board, unit 2 is v2) shows:
stat unit 1 unit 2 GH/s avg 199 204 rejected 218 13 HW 68,500 10,800 DiffR 28,000 1,700
the rest of the stats were similar enough to be omitted. It seems fairly clear from the results at 14.5hrs of operation that there is roughly a 5GH/s difference in the units, probably a result of the different firmware. Temps on unit 2 are 49/50 while unit 1 is 51/54 - I will update the firmware shortly and may try pushing unit 2 to 425MHz
I updated the firmware, and there is no change to the hardware error rate. (Bitmain, is there a way to see which board or chip(s) are producing errors?) stat unit 1 unit 2 GH/s avg 200 204 rejected 7 8 HW 23,500 3,800 DiffR 896 1,024 also, i tried the 425Mhz code, and hashrate seemed to drop to around 187GH with more errors, so i guess temperature is a factor

Aw, come on. Can't they put a couple 6-pin pcie power sockets in place of the terminals?

Im split on the issue. most MOBOs that are ideal (cheap 600w, preferably modular) only have 2 pci connectors, usually running on the same 6 wires. this isnt enough for the sytem, meaning you still need either a higher-priced PSU or to chop up the ATX cable. simplicity = cost I have found that the BEST PSU for this is a corair 600M. Its modular and has pci cables (but the 2-on-1 type i just mentioned). But more importantly, it is single-rail offering over 550W on 12V. Even better, the 8-pin (2x4pin) AXT plug is a thick guage and easily cut up and split for use. I run 2x12V and 2xGND to each board, and the wires barely get warm. That means the only wiremess i have is 8 power wires that come from the PSU in 2x4wire ribbons, and the 24PIN ATX cable which is ziptied to a small bundle. The 4/8 pin ATX connectors seem to be a very reliable source of power and thick cables that dont heat up

After upgrading the firmware of my both AntMiners from the older version to Nov 29 version and running a 12 hours+ mining test on the new firmware, there is a significant amount of stales less:

I would say it is getting better and better! This is what I'm thinking.... This would have been really suck, if AntMiner sat in the lab during this whole time, trying to perfect every aspect of it while it has ability to mine these minor issues can be dealt with while we have our miners in hand, working for us! After upgrading the firmware of my both AntMiners from the older version to Nov 29 version and running a 12 hours+ mining test on the new firmware, there is a significant amount of stales less:

I'd definitely buy some more units myself if a) there would be any for sale with the 'vouchers' due to participating in the very first two auctions and/or b) they'd come up with a "next generation" higher GH/s performing product. To tackle b) I could of course get multiple units more.. hmmm..

Warranty seems to be pretty good, too! My Group Buy member was sent the replacement PCB via UPS No Fuss about it. Bitmain just refunded my RMA costs.
