Any idea where the 1000$ in 10 minutes came from??

Thats not surprising, thats how crypto market works volatilty is very high. The break-out from $7,500 maybe an indicator that bull is out and time to accumulate more while its affordable.

For most of us it is surprising to see a $1000 bump in few minutes,it maybe a manipulation from the whales oe they want to buy the bitcoin because the bottom price of reached.But again the price is falling so I have no idea why the price os falling again maybe the people who bought at $6500 are selling their coins.

That sounds bazaar when we talk about the bitcoin! Come on its not co-ordinated pump at all because it would take huge amount money to move market like that way. It surged almost 1000K USD within an half hour and it will take bigger walls to build the next one. The pump doesn't work like that. It must be something else, who knows it could be Mt. Gox buying the BTC one more time as he sold at very high rates and these are cheap one for him. Lolz. Im just kidding but that could be the reason who knows. For this scenario to be evaluated one needs to identify the bitcoin movement or at least we need to check from where the huge volume is coming. If it is too many transactions then we can suspect a co-ordinated pump. But I still suspect it is not.

I have seen a lot of rumors lately about Bitcoin getting pumped and what not and it would sadden my heart to believe it. At the same time I don't put it out the realm of possibility because there are some whales out there who view the crypto market as a small pawn in the game. It is only when there is enough money and we are a King or Queen so to speak that these manipulations will stop. Of course I don't know when that magic $ will hit, but it has to be a while away yet.

I also wonder why this is happening. I mean Im a newbie on TA but I dont really know where that volume came from even the TA was saying it was before oversold. I am aware that bitcoin is about to breakout but this one is huge and we are expecting more for this is just the start and the resistance was all broken. See you at the moon.

Coordinated pump by who exactly? This sounds to me more like a conspiracy theory.
Anyway, I'm not so surprised because by now we have seen a lot of times that bitcoin price can change very quickly in both ways and the real reason is hard to determine.
But don't forget that it can so easily and so fast fall again under 7000$. So use this to make the quick profit.

people usually tend to overestimate the power of market makers or whales,... they usually want to blame someone for anything they can not speculate so they make a boogeyman who is doing all the evil.
not saying manipulations don't exist but saying they are not as big a part of bitcoin price movement that people tend to believe!

you guys tell me that all the sudden everybody started buying with no apparent reason? sounds like a fairy tale to me.

imagine you have X dollars you want to invest in bitcoin. you look at the charts and you see a triangle which is not pointing to either rise or fall and look at price that is stable and not moving either up or down. your analysis tells you it is not clear which way bitcoin is going to go so you don't invest and wait instead.

also you check the media you see it is filled with a lot of negativity and FUD constantly attacking bitcoin and experience says price can not rise during times like this.

now price moves ahead and starts rising above that upper triangle line and signals a rise, you will see a surge in volume and price. as a trader it is all you need to know to dump that X dollars in bitcoin. and that is what you do.

there are lots of people like you so multiply that X by their number and you get yourself a big ass rise with a huge volume. if you want to call it a "coordinated pump" then be my guest but you are using wrong words to describe it.

We should seek some multi millionaire to invest in bitcoin, so we could have benefit other bitcoin traders. I also think, price can increase in 10 minutes in which way that the whales invest in huge amount of money then the price can increase. In another way i think it will not happen, because the price of Bitcoin is much and you need a much more money for move it like a today's change.

Bitcoin has been known to increase quickly as the history has shown us how highly volatile it is but I dont think that this is because of any good news or regular growth. I think it might be a pump from the big whales because a growth of $1000 in 10 minutes is not usual. This is either a pump from the whales or the sign of the next rally to the moon which we have been waiting for since so many months.

Yes, bitcoin is not always on top and the changes with its price really happens fast. It's a good thing that bitcoin's value increases fast but not all the time that thing happens. Though it's predictable that bitcoin will have a value increase, it is still difficult to say when that will happen. Patience is something that you mostly need when you are into bitcoin, the more you wait the more you get.

Everyone were surprised to hear the good news of price increase. None is clear about the real fact behind the sudden price pumping, and in my thinking some good news with a large scale firm accepting bitcoin or a positive support from any of the country might have taken place.

Prepare yourself , another pump .... People would try to push the price up to $8,500 include me.
This could be a fake bull , but I'm more to a real one. Nothing happened with the fundamentals , George soros rumour seems haven't made an impact ,  this is the real momentum. No one would find the real reason , because it was 'us' who causing this situation.

If this thing happens, then sell your coins immediately! HAHA just kidding. having that big time increase will most probably freak people out to sell their coins. Just remember to keep some coins with you because the price might still increase and you might as well be able to sell it in a higher price.

An interesting question, this is a problem that I am also interested in. Yesterday, the market was still volatile and chaotic. However, today everything was very different. Within a short time, Bitcoin has risen sharply, according to data from coinmarketcap, its price was at one point up nearly 11%. I was quite surprised because it took place so fast. I think there have been a few whale groups that pump up the price dramatically, pushing them up for some purpose. This is just my opinion.

$1000 price rise is only 14% which is about 4% higher than normal fluctuations of bitcoin. what I am trying to say is that $1000 rise from $6900 is not that big if you look at it in % form.

the reason is because bitcoin has been much lower than it is really worth for a very long time now and it needs to go up. this upward movement has been suppressed for a long time now which makes rises more like a jump up rather than a simple slow rise.
additionally it is kind of a Technical Analysis thing. price broke out of a triangle and that acted as a signal for traders that a rise is coming so they rushed to invest and price jumped as a result.

That is a big wow for me. I didn't know it could go that far.

Still, cryptocurrencies are volatile because It is new technology. One bad news or fud can destroy whole market cap. I think this is the reason for price fluctuation.

Because maybe some big entity is pumping the price lately. Its not the first time that we have seen this phenomena though, specially in December wherein there's a lot of money going in the market daily.

We have hit double bottom, so its about time that those who are waiting in the background pour their hard cash that's why a big pump is being witnessed today. Gonna be interesting in the next couple of days and see where the price will settle after this pump.

Although the price has not changed significantly, but it is a progress none the less, a step toward a higher goal, this comes after a long weeks of the price going down and it is a sign to all who questioned the capability of bitcoin and whether it is going downhill, although the real reason behind this jump in price is unknown, but the known thing for sure is that today as soon as the price hit 8k people started selling and this caused it to go down again, the important thing is that we keep on holding and beveling in bitcoin and in no time we will see some huge progress.
