https://trello.com/c/pIl04Srk/49-200-bounty-get-an-existing-nonprofit-organization-to-accept-mastercoinThey have a Bitcoin address, so technically they accept Mastercoin already. Problem is they won't know what to do with them.
So for someone to pick up this bounty they need to talk to an existing organization that accepts Bitcoins already, educate them about Mastercoin, explain to them how to work with the, and have them officially announce their support in some way.
For the purpose of this bounty we do not want organizations that are Bitcoin centric (e.g. the Litecoin Foundation if it existed wouldn't count). Wikileaks. EFF and Wikipedia are good examples.

I can't believe we reached this so soon: https://trello.com/c/qPlB0nxw/51-localization-of-at-least-one-clientOfficial support for localization in one of the popular clients. Conditions:
1. Localization must be done in a generic way - there needs to be proper code and documentation that allows anyone to submit a new pull request to that client with a new language. 2. Localization must be officially adopted and announced by the client's lead.
I think $300 would be a nice bounty for this (not approved yet). Please feel free to comment on the Trello card.

Quoting from the main thread: Are there any researches among us? I am putting up a $1000 bounty for writing what may be the first peer-reviewed Mastercoin paper. Details: http://fc14.ifca.ai/bitcoin/cfp.htmlThe first person or team to get a paper accepted into the Financial Crypto 14 conference, receives the bounty. FYI the workshop is sponsored by The Bitcoin Foundation.

Founding a local chapter of the Mastercoin FoundationThis is a voluntary opportunity. There is no bounty or salary for doing this. If you want to get involved, but not sure how - this is a great way to get involved. Found your own local Mastercoin Community. It can be a country-wide thing, a city chapter, or anything else. Currently there are at least four groups working on setting up their local organizations. Just organize, ask us for help, and we'll do this together. More details to follow soon.

New UX/UI bounty: https://trello.com/c/MdyfWYxp/10-mockups-design-for-a-website-listing-all-autonomous-applicationsWe would like someone to create a mockup or design for a website that will concentrate all the AAs currently raising money through the Mastercoin platform. The site will be a focal point for AAs to kickstart/bootstrap their operation. I think we can start with something that can easily showcase 10-20 companies. The next step would be to enhance the website to support 100s of companies.
There are some delicate legal issues here.
On the one hand we are currently using the term AA which we hope is a safer regulatory framework for speaking about these projects.
On the other hand, we need this website to be very welcoming to people who are not familiar with the Mastercoin ecosystem. One analogy for AAs is companies, shareholders, etc. ... which is easier to understand but harder legally.
The UX lead for this feature will need to consolidate this difference. FYI we are preparing a legal Think Tank that will assist wit this. For any issues or questions, please turn to Stas Oskin and David Johnston.
Please see the card for more details / POC. You are really good at this. Excellent job. Mastercoin is now starting to grow exponentially and I can barely keep up with the changes, and that is a good. https://trello.com/c/pIl04Srk/49-200-bounty-get-an-existing-nonprofit-organization-to-accept-mastercoinThey have a Bitcoin address, so technically they accept Mastercoin already. How about churches? Would they count? Also they aren't as politically controversial as Wikileaks.

Great! Please send an email to info@mastercoin.orgWe are opening a Google Group to organize all local chapters with more instructions. Localization for one of the clients...
Also interested... No problem. Please contact the client developers, sync with them, and send them a pull request. You are really good at this. Excellent job. Mastercoin is now starting to grow exponentially and I can barely keep up with the changes, and that is a good.
Thanks, this means a lot. I'm just an ordinary joe that happened to by lucky enough to be in the position that people are willing to listen to me (sometimes). https://trello.com/c/pIl04Srk/49-200-bounty-get-an-existing-nonprofit-organization-to-accept-mastercoinThey have a Bitcoin address, so technically they accept Mastercoin already. New bounty: undetermined amount (please propose a bounty amount for it). https://trello.com/c/CrTosrYl/56-scalabilityWe need a page describing the eventual scalability of Mastercoin. How many transactions per second can the network sustain? How fast this number is expected to grow? What are our main challanges? What about Lite Mastercoin Clients? Something like https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/ScalabilityThis task is left for someone qualified to take and propose a suitable bounty.

This article is a bit generic. I'm actually in contact with the (Israeli) group that wrote the Zerocoin paper ... they may have an idea for us. We'll provide details when we can.

1. I've opened a new Spreadsheet that will always contain the latest bounty amounts. 2. I have written this blog post describing the bounty process. We need more participation in order to keep accelerating - your input is welcome. 3. Also, I increased the bounty of the Budget Website from $500 to $1000 4. and added this new bounty: Spend from Multisighttps://trello.com/c/ftjuT9gH/57-1500-spend-from-multisigBounty: $1500
Using Bitcoin multisig addresses, you can send MSC or any MSC derived currency to a multisig address today.
However, today, there isn't a way to spend money sent to such addresses.
Acceptance Criteria
Alice, Bob and Charlie share a multisig address. Alice should be able to "initiate multisig send" from her wallet. This pops up a notification on Bob's and Charlie's wallets. One of them "confirms send", and the funds are now sent. The notification can be hidden if nobody confirms it within a certain amount of time.
What is required for this bounty is adding a UI to at least two Mastercoin clients, and demonstrating the above flow on the real production network. The bounty would be split between the developers of both clients.
FYI - I believe no spec changes are required to make this work.

Do you need someone to translate to Dutch? I've done translations for several websites already and they were happy about my services.
We might need that in the future, but right now are focused on more generic infrastructure. We have an open bounty for implementing localization - the code that supports multiple languages, not translating to any specific language. If you wanted to found the dutch chapter of the Mastercoin Foundation, you could then follow up with doing the translation and maybe getting some bounty for it - but a first step would be establishing a community. See http://wiki.mastercoin.org/index.php/How_to_start_a_local_Mastercoin_chapter

Hmm ... it might ... I don't think it's a good idea to start with them (do any churches accept Bitcoin at this point???), but I won't rule it out. Churches span many borders, deal in a lot of financial instruments (bonds) and get favorable tax sheltered status in the United States. Cryptocurrencies are perfect for them in some regards

FYI, we were just approached by someone for the open Project Manager position. I am posting here for transparency's sake. I believe this person is qualified for the job, and pending board approval would love to hire him to try and make some sense into this chaos. However I still want to be fair to everyone else (and I want to get the best candidates), and give you a chance to apply if relevant.

New bounty ($1500) - mobile wallet. https://trello.com/c/Itu0CGT1/59-mobile-wallet1. Wallet should pass a minimal usability bar (Check out Mycelium wallet for an excellent Bitcoin wallet).
2. Wallet should support at least the ability to send and receive BTC and MSC.
I won't specify this any more right now ... feel free to propose a spec and work with the community on refining it.

Increased bounty for writing doing economics analysis of why MSC has value from $500 to $1000. Reminder - you can pick this bounty only if you have strong economics background. Just writing your own analysis, without fully understanding traditional economics at a very high academic level will not get you this bounty (although this can qualify for other bounties e.g. the Documentation Contest). https://trello.com/c/EAWWSd1n/40-500-economic-research-why-does-msc-have-value$1000 bounty, but it should to be Peter Surda or someone of his caliber that does this research. Very strong economics background is needed.
We need someone with a solid economics background (Peter Surda caliber) to research and explain why MSC has value.
A good feature to investigate is the CFD feature. CFDs and backed currencies "need" MSC to have value, and thus I believe their adoption will _cause_ MSC to have value.
