Good news came today from Europe:

The countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, Norway, Spain and the Netherlands, signed a declaration on Tuesday establishing the new group, dubbed the European Blockchain Partnership, according to a release from the European Commission, which led the effort.

22 European Nations Form New Blockchain Partnership

This will be a good news to them but not to us. The European Union is planning to create their own digital currency using blockchain technology that will be used in government services as well in their economy. They are planning to use such currency as a medium of exchange for buying goods within their territory. Such digital assets I guess will not be placed on the market but it is the 22 countries who will agree on the value of the coin so they can practically use it like the fiat currency but now only in digital form.

Centralized can't compete with decentralized, it's the whole attraction of bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Finally, heard something good that is good to the ear.
According to the article, the partnership has already been formed, but this is sadly not a part of mainstream media. People don't care about this, heck people don't care about the thousands and millions of lives that are being lost in countries like Syria. They are focusing on facebook's data theft back in 2015,and they had a meeting with the congress for 5 whole hours. But the US fucking government is not even willing to talk about the Syrian crisis for 5 minutes,so let alone this blockchain partnership.

This partnership only brings legitimacg to the use of bitcoin as currency, not only that bitcoin will be recognized as an asset it will also open new heights for bitcoin, thoug there maybe pros and cons with this decision, one positive outlook will be, bitcoin will help those countries in Europe to get rid of their debt, but will also help other countries on how bitcoin should be used and it will be no longer known as a mode of payment in the deepweb, the negative side that I see is that, by regulating bitcoins they might also control other countries on how to use bitcoin, just like what had haplened in the european union, theh wanted to control countries rather than helping them when times of need, still this move will help alot of people to understand what bitcoin is and why there is anhuge number of people using bitcoin, though there are a lot of FUDs out there.

Anything that will really bring positive vibes to the ecosystem might be considered as good news. However, it has nothing to do with crypto but if it did, it will not put any significant effect in the price.

Those countries bonding together is talking about blockchain and not crypto per se. Maybe what the news can do to us is that at least more people will understand that blockchain is the new revolution that will really change a lot of industries, specially on dealing with their private data as we all know that blockchain in secure. But in crypto in general? I doubt that this news will have significant effect on us.

it would be better if we get rid of those nations in europe now.

society can also run good without communists, based on nationalism, they are currently again spread destruction and war hatred around. instead nof shuting down the media.

decentralized have its own advantages, but Blockchain technologies itself have a massive potential if it utilitize right. And the 22 European nations show how they can maximize the blockchain technologies for itself.

it is not always about competing with bitcoin when a new thing is created. bitcoin is there, growing every day and it is being adopted by more people. that doesn't mean they can't create a centralized coin to improve some internal transactions like increasing the security and speed and things like that.

that is big news for all bitcoiners.
I hope this news make a bitcoin is more popular and powerful. actually, cooperation relationship  between countries can be made and hope can manage and create a beautiful future for bitcoin. Basically, it also can be bad if the 22 country  make regulation banning bitcoin, but we have to be positive and think that there will be a point of bitcoin can be recognized around the world.

At this stage, I feel that most countries will not officially recognize the status of bitcoin, which is related to their national policies. But they can't stop the development of the cryptographic world, and can only guide it.

regardless of the possibility of their desire to make their own cryptocurrency, this is good news for the development of blockchain technology. indeed the decision would have a bad effect on bitcoin and altcoin today, but rather than the long row and debate about the legality of crypto in each country, this decision I think is wise enough as a middle ground for achieving a shared solution.

A group of 22 European nations has formed a new blockchain partnership aimed to exchange information on the technology.
The countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, Norway, Spain and the Netherlands, signed a declaration establishing the new group, dubbed the European Blockchain Partnership, according to a release from the European Commission, which led the effort.
The collaboration is aimed to avoid "fragmented approaches" to the technology by sharing technical and regulatory expertise among member states, as well as creating ways to promote blockchain applications across the EU-wide Digital Single Market.

The legal status of Bitcoin varies substantially from country to country, but many countries have explicitly allowed its use and trade
