As we are here in crypto world to hug the great opportunity of earnings that bitcoin brings and we know that bitcoin is the best and strongest coin in crypto but still I will not set aside that Altcoins also gives good earnings like of that bitcoin, like me I will always check all new ICO to select coin for investment as what I always did.

Of all, I prefer Qtum ZRX and Binance coin. Recently, when the whole market is constantly falling, they show good results. These coins have excellent development teams and I think that in the near future they will show the result better than the rest.

I think the baseline question we all should be asking is - what will call for Bitcoin ban?

If Bitcoin ban is due to increasing scam associated with it and its negative impact on the world economy then, i believe all other crypto-currencies born after Bitcoin will perish with it.

In the light of reality, i do not see that happening soon, regardless the increasing scam in the crypto market. This is becuase, wherever there is money, there are thieves and greedy people.

With the continuous variation in Bitcoin price, News of Bitcoin trends on major broadcastiing media across the globe which means that Bitcoin and crytocurrency are gradually gaining popularity.  Frankly, i do not see how Bitcoin / Cyrptocurrency/ Blockchain technology will be Ban entirely from the world.

In response to your question stated in the subject section of this thread, I prefer Ethereum among all other Cryptocurrency in the absence of Bitcoin.

Ethereum has always being my favorite after Bitcoin.

Apart from bitcoin, I prefer XVG. Last year, XVG even reached X10000 growth. Of course, it could not replace bitcoin. Although the market is affected by some national policies, I do not think any item can replace bitcoin for the time being.

Maybe Ethereum can take the place or another Bitcoin fork there are at least 6 bitcoin fork, so in case we need another one then those Bitcoin can take over, but I still doubt at this point of time if Bitcoin can be replaced, it will not be in the next five years.

If Bitcoin is banned, I would definitely opt for ETH as everyone knows ETH is the second coolest behind Bitcoin.

DASH - for payments (anonymous, very low fees, very fast)
Monero/XMR - as a privacy coin
NEO - the Chinese Ethereum

All of these are relatively conservative bets for the next bull run, imo.

If bitcoin is banned, the entire encrypted community may be stagnant, and there is not a single project that can replace bitcoin, and ETH doesn't have such a big energy.
