It is not a good selling time if the market in general is in red blood. It is better if you just wait for a few more months when the whole crypto market has recovered enough. You will have a bigger gain if you do this. And I think it will not take a longer time before the recovery is enough. Within this year, the prices of cryptocurrencies including your Stellar (XLM) will definitely increase. There's always a time for that.

You have to calculate the % gain to recover your losses. It takes exponentially more gains to cover a loss.

It takes: 11% to cover 10% loss, 18% to cover 15% loss, 43% to cover 30% loss,

If your coin have potential like Bitcoin then its better to hold for a while because possible to grow it more and get huge profit, but if not just wait for a while until it increase even a little then sell it. I suggest before you buy a coin make sure it can increase its value in the market, then also make sure if you sell it you can get a lot earning from it. And i think right this moment its better to hold your coin until its value become normal or rising again, and start making profit.

I will advise against selling your coin now. But if you are in great need, then  go for it no matter what - profitable or not.
But as many others in this thread have said, good holders don't sell coins very easily until target profit is reached.
