Holding alone is a solid investment and over time their values will grow, so it is not like they are dead in your wallet the way you made it sound. If you are looking for a scheme where you will be given certain percentage over time on your alts, then there is none and if there is any that promises you anything, it will turn out to be a scam eventually and you will lose everything.

You only have few options; it is either you are trading them and utilizing the fluctuations to make some profit yourself (which you must be ready to learn a lot before even thinking about going ahead), or you are investing in QUALITY ICOs (which comes with its own risk, and most times, they are ethereum based) or you are investing in proof of stake coins or tokens. If you cannot do any of these, please HODL!

Are you investing in things with the intention to "sell the news" etc, or investing in coins you've researched and think they're good?
If the latter, it's always a risk to trade, many lose when attempting to trade their stack larger, but many others do it successfully.
you just have to weigh risk to profit, can you afford to lose them? is there nothing interesting happening soon that might pump the price? if so, you could try trading.
personally, the only altcoins I invest in are things I truly believe in, and I wouldn't want to risk decreasing my stack.

1 Just convert all of your coin to the coin that gives you ability to earn the passive income from the network. But you shall complete some requirements for that.
2 Do a trade with your amount but this involved the more risk compared with convert them all into the staking coin.

I think "good altcoins" are always worth to hold over time for months and months. Many people aren't patient enough to do it so when whales hit the markets only patients will make profits and enjoy their investment!

If you have solid coins in your crypto wallet it's mean that you are prudent investor and with the passage of time your investment would coninue to grow and in the end you will definitely receive higher profit.conversely if you have shit coins in your wallet you would certainly lose your investment regardless how long you hold it.be careful in your selection.
