Anyone make serious profit from hodling 6-12 months ?

Some people says hodl is the best way to make big profit. I am not a good hodler. I just hodl genesis vision for 3 months and made 3x profit but the other I always sell in a week or 10 days. Anyone make serious profit from hodling 6-12 months ?

Ask that to those people who had held their Bitcoins or Ethereum couple of years ago. Of course you can make great profit from holding them. Assuming you are holding the right kind of coin or token. Only few coin or token are worth to hold. And considering which to hold or dump is crucial here in order to protect your profit. I dare you to hold as much Ethereum as you can for 6 months then magic happens.

But I only experienced it in 5 months (starting from late december 2017), I almost got profits more than 30 times by holding but i didn't want to sell it until now because this coin is promising and worthy to hold until 1 - 2 years.

Well I actually did. Most of my crypto holdings I bought last year was now more than 100x times. Just some of it. SOme manage to goes up a little. Some did actually failed and plunge its value to the bottom. I am making serious profit of it to the point where I am able to reinvest it to others and kept growing.

I don't think holding is the best way to make big profit. In my opinion, I think it's the safest way, not the best way cause you just need to choose a good cryptocurrency then buy and hold but how if price of the whole market just dump in few months or maybe stable like the early of this year? I think at that time nobody thought that holding is the best way to make big profit ). But if you're a patient guy, you can earn a lot of money from holding only.

It depends on a lot of things, hodl what and how much of it? Holding BTC currently for a year might get you 0 profit, but alts have a higher chance to win big(and lose). It all depends on the market, if there is a general positive outcome then it doesn't really matter if you are trading or holding.

Actually that will be depending on the coin you are holding, not every coin in the market does have the potential to grow and good for long term investment, holding will not always give you profit.
