bitcoin took the place of the first currency, in this no coin can replace it, but other coins have newer technologies than bitcoin.

Bitcoin has first-mover advantage and can be upgraded to include the features of other coins, so it can still come out on top in the future. But that does not mean we should underestimate other coins. Let’s face it.. the technology behind these coins in revolutionary. These cryptos are more than just coins. They are the foundation for building apps and projects that can impact not just on replacing regular currencies but the world beyond as well. I know we're all partial to bitcoin, but shouldn't we just be excited for the possibility of  a virtual currency beating fiat and the banks in the future?

I can say with certainty that there are coins that can replace Bitcoin and even the Ethereum. EOS has great prospects..

There is no currency in the crypto market for Bitcoin. There are tokens that will be as valuable as him. Some projects are very logical and will give direction to the future.

I don't think there is any currency to replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the boss of the encryption market. No one can replace it. The altcoin may have a good development but it is impossible to surpass it.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???
For me, no one could replace bitcoin.
Its the first of crypto. and the foundation of the community and the word cryptocurrency.
with bitcoin. everything will fall.
i guess bitcoin could be consider as our currency.

Probably in the past twenty years, there is no coin in the cryptocurrency that can surpass the value of Bitcoin. Even 50 years, the cryptocurrency will change all human beings.

I think it is very difficult to replace Bitcoin. As a pioneer in this industry, bitcoin is difficult to surpass in terms of status and strength. Ethereum, which is currently ranked second in market value, is still far away from Bitcoin, so I don't think there will be any cryptocurrency beyond Bitcoin in the short term.

Many people are asking if there is a coin that could surpass bitcoin. My answer can't go beyond bitcoin. If you ask me why. I'll tell you that bitcoin has been around for nine years. None of the COINS exceeded bitcoin, even the Ethereum.

BTC is the foundation of the cryptocurrency market and it influences on everything. So I am sure that it is impossible for any atlcoins to beat BTC.

I do agree that it is difficult to obtain significant market share when Bitcoin dominates the market. However, there are several flaws in bitcoin, that appear with the time and increasing popularity of cryptocurrencies. For example, the issue of privacy and pseudonymity of blockchain.

If there should be an altcoin replacing bitcoin, it would be one that solves some of the issues of the pioneering currency. ITF recently published a report on privacy coins, offering quite a complex comparison of the methods out there. I think that privacy coins hold a certain potential for the mass adoption and as such, can replace bitcoin in some use cases.

I don't think that there is an altcoin that can reolace bitcoin, ar least not now. Bitcoin has become a currency circle boss, which is already a fact. In 2017, Bitcoin became the king of cryptocurrency with amazing returns. And that will last for quite a long time.

Based on the background of Bitcoin (BTC), I definitely disagree. Because even Ethereum that always tried it's best to replace Bitcoin never win until now. Bitcoin is on the peak of the mountain while others is trying hard to climb that mountain to reach Bitcoin and push it down but no altcoin succeeds. I think even after 10 to 15 years no one will replace bitcoin on the top as the king of all coins.

it seems that ETH has a good chance of replacing bitcoin. although it is difficult and requires a very long process of time. bitcoin is now still the best and popular, and I have to admit it.
thanks

I will say there are much coins in circulation that can replace Bitcoin as the Mother of all Digital Currencies. Some coins like Ethereum, NEO and litecoin have possible potential in the market to overtake Bitcoin few years to come, but that is much more like a thread going through the face of a needle or the nose of a camel. If it will happen it will take a decade to manifest.

We've been discussing this for a long time, and there are so many threads like this that I see. We should know that there is another crypto that has the potential of bitcoin but not to replace bitcoin. Ethreum is a coin that has the same potential as bitcoin, but I never say ethreum can replace bitcoin.

No way and I think many good altcoins do not want to be be better "Bitcoin". They are working on totally diffrent blockchain for totally diffrent application. For example: ID verification on blockhain, VIN code verification on blockchain, Products informtion on blockchain and many more cool ideas!

In my own opinion, No coin has proved itself worthy to replace bitcoin.
Even the so called Ethereum is just trying.
With time i think with time we should see a coin which will overthrone bitcoin.
