There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???
ripple...i thought some was critical about it since it is not decentrelized. i mean, there can be plenty but bitcoin can't be really replaced.

I am not sure that something should be replaced. I only look if project is solid and ICO worth investing. I need to see that team is professional, they have post token sale development plan and big partners in traditional business. I found the perfect one. OSA DC, solid project and only 1 day left till token sale ends.
Yeah I hope that they will be successful Smiley

Basing the coins performance this year it is highly impossible for other coins to surpass bitcoin in any terms since many have struggle but bitcoin showed its potential to have a huge comeback compared to other coins.

It seems now that BTC is superior but things can change quickly in Crypto.  A non existing coin at the moment can enter the market and take the lead  in less than 5 years.

Despite all the criticism Bitcoin is still the most stable cryptocurrency with the fluctuation of price not more than ~15% over the past 3 months.
It is hard to say whether this stability will be preserved for the next 5-10 years (technology forges ahead with the accelerating speed), but I believe that btc will be the leader of crypto market as far ahead as anyone can see.

At the moment, we can say that this can happen in the future. But I can not see that there is a crypt coin that can replace Bitcoin as the king of the crypto currency as it is now. But we can not deny that this can happen, because there are such coins in the market that has the potential for growth indefinitely, considers the time when the most searched Yahoo's engine and suddenly appears Google. Just like facebook surpassed Friendster.

I strongly doubt the possibility of this at this point in time. All altcoins are directly or indirectly tied to bitcoin. If bitcoin seizes to exist, there could be a great plunge in the crypto atmosphere. The power bitcoin has gathered over the years in such that, it could take a century for another cryptocurrency to rival bitcoin. There is also a general believe and perception of bitcoin, this means that for any other coin to take its place, such a coin must have the public backing bitcoin has today. It could really take sometime before we see any coin truly rival btc.

to replace BTC requires coins that have a large community of enthusiasts with sophisticated technology, if you look at altcoin technology at this time nobody can replace BTC, so I still choose to invest in BTC in the long term

I don't think any other cryptocurrency could replace bitcoin since it is the first and the most recognizable coin. The competitors like Ethereum are just having the functions that btc lacks, but they do not possess that spirit of a revolutionary technology of blockchain.

I think that currently only Ethereum has such a potential. On the other hand, it will not be easy to oust bitcoin, because  it is the most famous and expensive cryptocurrency in the world.
