From an outside perspective, not knowing anything else about the site, it's not idiotic.  Satoshi Circle did it and I visited their site.   Now Ice-Dice did it.  Would you have rather they just didn't give away .005 at all?  Even with the 1.5 BTC limit still imposed, would that make you satisfied?

They never gave 0.005 away, so that question has no meaning. But if they never had promoted this, in the way it was promoted, this thread would've never existed.

actually they did and I ended up depositing my own coin and ... at the time i was still able to post in the ice-dice trollbox and was so pissed I could not even cash out even what i deposited! now wtf!!!~when i brought this up they banned me~   ...somehow managed to go balls out make it past the limit and cash out !

I thought the rollover requirement was a bit excessive.  Really surprised to hear that they shut down.  I really liked how you could set the exact range of winning numbers for your roll, not just high or low on their site.
