On Monday, Oct 22, Wemark advisor Keren Sachs will represent us in a panel at DMLA 2018 discussing how technology may reframe how we use, purchase, and license imagery and its potential to empower the next generation of content creators.

DMLA is one of the world's most significant digital licensing conferences, with participants from Google, ABC/Disney, Adobe and more, and its panels often help shape how the industry addresses licensing in the coming year.

In addition to participating in the panel, Keren and fellow Wemark advisor Lee Torrens will be meeting with key partners in Wemark's table where we'll also be giving out some fun Wemark swag.

Major product update - October 22nd

Hi guys.

We're excited to share our latest announcement, with several important updates to our product.
This is the biggest product update since we launched the marketplace in alpha earlier this year.

Currently what the Wemark team is doing is creating the perfect conditions for the release of tokens (liquidity, etc.). I think it makes sense as great things take time and I would prefer them getting all their ducks in a line first rather than rushing.

At the moment, there are no news on exchanges. Once it is possible to update everyone about some clear cut info on exchange listings, the Wemark team will make sure it is public knowledge.

Hey there, please read the latest statement from the team in regards to token release:

Hey guys, I know some of you are getting anxious and are looking to get your tokens released and liquid asap.

There's one very important thing that I want to highlight - our interests are absolutely the same here - the company along it's founders, team, advisors and partners will all benefit greatly from maximizing the value and liquidity of the tokens.

However, we have a huge responsibility to all token holders and have to take a lot of facts in consideration. As we always said, we are here for the long-term and have to do what we believe is best for the future of our economy. We try to do our best to make the best decisions for the whole ecosystem, even if some of them are tough and can make some part of our community angry or confused.

Fortunately, the absolute majority of our contributors, advisors and partners share our vision and support our strategy.

We're working really hard and are hoping to get you some exciting announcements and updates really soon.

Please rest assured that we haven't reduced our speed or persistence in any way and we're more committed to our vision than ever before.

Update from Wemark CEO:

We apologize for the delay in publishing the sale wrap-up. Just before releasing the final numbers we have learned about a legal requirement that might affect a small number of our private sale contributions. As unsold tokens will be burned, we have to report the final and exact data. We are close to fully sort this issue and I believe that we'll post the wrap-up by Wednesday next week, if not before.

As we said before, we will release the tokens and enable transactions on the marketplace regardless of the market conditions, and it's closer than ever. There is plenty of work behind the scenes to make sure we're prepared to get users and make an impact on the industry right from the first year, and most of this work will become public over the next couple of months.

As I briefly mentioned before, a lot of work is being done on the content review side as well. Starting very soon, selected photographers (professionals only, for now) will get an FTP access and after their portfolio is reviewed, they will be able to submit images to the marketplace directly. Those images will be reviewed differently than the rest of the submitted content. This will allow trusted photographers to onboard their content without waiting like everyone else. At the same time, we're also checking the option of outsourcing some part of the review process to external content review teams to accelerate and improve this important part of our platform.

I hope this helps to shed some light over what's going on. Needless to say we all work extremely hard to complete these big plans and make them public.

I thought that they had collected everything, because the public sale was canceled due to the successful presale fees. Perhaps they thought that this amount would be enough. Wemark’s updated strategy for content review!

To shift our initial focus to experienced photographers, we’re implementing a few important changes to the onboarding process. We’re launching two different tracks for photographers: The Experienced Track, and The Standard Track.

Our objectives for the new strategy:

- Hit the ground running with the best possible content by giving priority to experienced photographers.
- Accelerate the process of submitting large collections and getting them reviewed.
- Allow anyone to participate while slashing the time it takes our editors to review each of the images.
- Onboard 10X content, without sacrificing our quality standards
