Total Marketcap is rising, start of bullish market?

Bitcoin back in its normal price just right now. Almost all cryptocurrencies are pumping simultaneously with the price of bitcoin. It seems like the bull run is starting to kick! Hopefully, it will continue even at the end of this month. We must celebrate! A lot of green leaves in the coinmarketcap!

Woah i think it's still a bit too early for that though. I agree that what's haopening now is a good sign but expecting a bull run because of this may be reaching out a but too far. I'm ok with btc stabilizing for a time here so my alts can actually move forward

rise of the total market cap does not necessarily mean price rises let alone a bull market!
what you are seeing is mainly the bitcoin rise effect which has first incresed the total market cap when bitcoin price went up then as the price became pretty stable altcoins began to rise and with that market cap went up. none of this  means a bull market.

whoever held altcoins while losing 70% has no idea what he is doing. i wouldn't use the word "warrior" i would use "idiot" instead.

Sad to say I completely agree with your sentences but I am one of those idiots. I believed markets reached specific point that may keep pushing it even further without correction. But I was hit hard with reality.
It is too early to tell it a bull market.

well to be fair to you, one is only an idiot as long as they don't learn from their mistakes otherwise making mistakes even big ones like this and losing money is a part of all our lives. every trader, even the big players are making mistakes at some point. the thing that sets them apart is what they do after they made that mistake. as long a you learn from it and try to avoid making it again, you can be considered a good trader.

It is true that there really are good signs since last week which has given most of the crypto lovers in this industry to have a strand of hope out of all the fud that is being spread all over the internet. Almost every crypto holder today are crossing their fingers hoping that this is an early sign or an indicator that the bullish season is now about to start or is already starting slowly. But the thing is, after all that has happened into this industry from the past years to this day, I myself can never be too sure anymore on what is gonna happen tomorrow, the next day, the day after that, next month or the next year. But as what you have said, the ones that have managed to hold and endure are the warriors in the market and they will only be the ones who will be able to reap the rewards of their patience and endurance. Hence, I too will not sell and keep on buying instead.

Yes the whole market rising is good. If you look at most altcoins they have bottomed and have been surging off that bottom strongly recently. Bitcoin as well. I expect a slow recovery taking most of the year, but it seems the recovery has started. As the weeks go by if the prices keep going up little by little people will gain confidence and realize its the best time to start buying in again as prices will never be this low again in a few months.

Good news is coming to those who hold there coins patiently and endure the wallet circumstances. Very nice things in the present price is increasing and it can last for long days that probably will hit the moon and written down in the history that the new record filled crypto market price.

Through an investment point of view, holding for the long run is defiantly beneficial as per my opinion. However, I believe that the movement is a growth and hence I try to spend my 50% of the funds in order to contribute to the growth. We must realize the fact that Bitcoin is valuable today just because early adopters have decided to use Bitcoin as a payment system. It is now our responsibility to use it in that way instead of focusing on the speculation.

I think it is too early to say that it's already the start of another bullish trend. Even though we see most of the coins out there in green does not mean we have to let our guard down and be confident with our investments. A false belief that investments in crypto will make you gain profit by not doing anything will take you nowhere.

Marketcap doesn't decide anything. Marketcap is dependent upon the price of the cryptocurrencies. If they rise the overall marketcap will grow automatically. Right now the bull phase isn't confirmed. Bitcoin is yet to test some upper support levels which if broken can only confirm any positive price action. Else we will see another dump for accumulation stage. But as people are FOMOing, enjoy altcoin trading and book profits

I previously was cautious about it, but now seeing that we have only had one minor red day or two in the past couple of weeks how is that not bullish? Sure the green days haven't been absurdly hot in terms of valuations increasing but the rise has been slow and steady. I prefer slow and steady and if we did this for another 2 months I would be absolutely fine with that.

Yeah I agree it is very likely we are out of bear market territory.

We might have 6 months of slow steady growth before it gets back to $20k. Once it starts getting back close to the all time high Bitcoin is gonna be in the media everywhere again and a new hype phase will begin. But until that next boom phase beings its a slow bull market for probably most of the rest of this year.

$10k in May/June
$15k in Aug/Sept
$20k in Nov/Dec
2019 -> $70k

We've definitely sen BTC make some positive moves over the last few weeks.

But to me, I don't see this as a start of a bull market. There is simply not enough momentum, in my opinion, for this short term rally to completely reverse the overall market sentiment from bearish to bullish yet.

But the signs are here for this rally to last a bit longer, possibly until the end of the month before any sort of legitimate correction comes. Obviously, there is the tax day bullish indication. And now, the price has hit $8.5k which is a strong sign that BTC will test $9k soon, and if breached, will go on to test $10k. However, that's where I think the ceiling for price growth really is for this rally, around the $10k level. After that, we may fall again into the previous bear market. I do see a strong recovery in 2019-2020, where the real bull market will emerge.

Yeah, anything is possible. We have had hope before that ended up being dashed and then we saw the market back down inside the downtrend all of a sudden again. I understand these things are some of the things we will definitely keep seeing for a while until we get to see the market fully recover and we switch to an uptrend, but for now, I am personally keeping all my fingers crossed and hoping for better days ahead.

I am expecting we will get to see the market spring back in few months’ time anyway. Rise of marketcap may be a signal still its significance need to be fully analyzed. Over time, volume of most cryptos will be high hence any small rise in price also will compete previous peak marketcap. So, not an exact symptom for hoping on bullish market.

but the total market cap is not one of those signs. in fact when i see the total market cap is rising it scares me because i completely remember last time altcoins got pumped this hard. they pulled bitcoin down with them as they continued getting dumped...

I think you misunderstood him lol. What he meant by bear trap was basically that Bitcoin was never in a bearish trend to begin with, it just looked that way.

That being said, anyone can make better predictions than any expert because pretty much everything in the market is fueled by speculations and current events. No one should trust anyone on any of this stuff lol.

It is still too early to start thinking of a bullish market anyway as we will get to see how things turn out in a little while. I am optimistic in the long term, but in the short, we both know how volatile the market is and what we can always end up expecting.

Nevertheless, I believe this market is about to get set consolidating and if we get to see this happen, we may actually be in for a very sweet ride after that since we are outside the downtrend at least for now. I mean, downtrend may find its end at any time soon and bulls may take control of the entire crypto markets at any time.

Not every single growth in the price of bitcoin means that we are getting a bullish market and not every decrease in the price means that we are getting a bearish market, the price of bitcoin is recovering and that is a good thing but you should not get your hopes up, that another bull market is forming after the last one just ended a few months ago.

The market has already declined significantly since the Dec ATH, so possibly it already hit the bottom and we are in for a bull market. I do hope the increasing Market cap is a sign of this, but this could simply be a bull trap and the downtrend could continue... But shouldn't this be in Speculation?

I think it's very important to keep that option in mind. With the crypto markets, it's very hard to pinpoint when exactly the markets might flip around. However, as of now, the general market has been showing pretty strong signs of a flip. Bitcoin has been increasing steadily and the market cap has been doing well recently as well. It seems as though the turn around might begin this month. It seems like it came a little late in comparison to the past few years, but I don't see how there can be a major halt in the current momentum of the markets.
