this announcement is very unclear.

How come there are going to co-exist:

1. Testnet v0.8
2. Testnet/beta mainnet v0.9
3. Mainnet 1.0

what is the point in staying at 0.8 when you can go straight to 1.0?

NKN roadmap beyond Mainnet

"When we launched our mainnet Narwhal in July 2019, we outlined our high level plans beyond Mainnet. Now it is time for an update and put a little bit more details to the roadmap beyond Mainnet."
There are two main tracks that happen in parallel and enhance each other:
- Mainnet tech and token economics
- Products and commercialization

Are there any node owners here? How often you got rewards? I setup several nodes more than 24h ago, but no one reward yet.

It is very random. My first NKN block took me 2 hours, the next one took 4 weeks.

Tnx, I needed just indicative time frames to be shure that my nodes work fine.
So, as I understood, the frequency of rewards is almost not affected by technical aspects, but the location of the node influences.

It depends mainly on luck (maybe 80%), then on location (how many other nodes are close to yours) and then maybe network latency.

I can't understand, better location where more nodes or where less? Now I use VPS in Europe, but no one rewards yet.

From what I see the more nodes you have around you, the better. This is counter intuitive for me, but for now it looks like when nodes are closer (e.g. less latency between them) they talk between each-other more.

I think NKN is one of the few coins that made things right in terms of low coin emmision, good and innovative project, listing on big exchanges!

If the coin emission is low, someone can easily buy lots of coins and people cannot put a lot of cheap priced sell orders in, so price stays high and maybe gets even higher in best case.

The price pump, big amount of buy orders since it listed on binance shortly shows the success!

What 's the reward for the block found? If only one node receives a reward, you can wait a long time.

This is like Ethereum's early days!

We are about to launch boys.

>NKN is the first legitimately useful public blockchain, even ETH can't scale to handle industry applications on the public chain.
>Uber/AirBnB of internet communication
>provides networking platform for any kind of communication over internet with incentives
>node can be ran almost on any device with public IP, no bullshit ASIC
>as secure as possible, end2end encryption, no centralized PKI
>super solid incentives, vast majority of revenue goes to nodes (80-90%)
>currently more nodes than BTC and ETH combined (over 20k)
>Proof of Relay + novel and super scalable consensus mechanism (MOCA)
>multiple services on top of the NKN network: CDN, Pub/Sub messaging, TUNA, VPN, FTP, etc..
>their CDN service is proven to outperform any traditional or p2p CDN service with significant difference
>TUNA service will be the GRANDE: fully decentralized marketplace for tunneling any kind of software services e.g. remote gaming
>just made CDN related commercial contract with iQiyi that's video platform with over 100m users
>in talks with major telecom/cable/internet companies in US, Europe, China etc..
>right now the major focus on delivering services for iQiyi in order to fully prove its competence to other potential customers
>team consists of industry specialists who have the best backgrounds for this kind of project
>main advisors are diffie whitfield and stephen wolfram
>tokenomics are very solid, founding team and community devs combined have 18% of tokens (with multi-year lock-down periods)
>ridiculously low market cap: $7m
