Ha ha, I love how you freely admit it is a pyramid scheme then assure us that it isn't a scam. Good times. Maybe you mean there is no scam beyond the pyramid scheme where those late to join get screwed.

Awesome, be quick or be scammed. At least Melvin is transparent about it. Better than some people on this forum trying to run Ponzi schemes but insisting that it isn't really a Ponzi scheme.

I meant no harm! Just for fun...If you don't want to play you don't have to and you should only play if you know what you are doing and know the risks Wink

No worries Melvin, I get what you are doing, and as far as I'm concerned it's no different than a site that allows you to gamble with bitcoins. And since that seems to be accepted on the forum, I don't see why this can't be too. At least, I don't have a problem with it, so long as you are transparent about what the game is and what the risks are, and you aren't scamming people in some other way that isn't transparent. But I'm still going to call this scam, since, well, that's what a Ponzi scheme is.  Tongue

Ponzi and Scam are two different words.

Ponzi means someone else makes a little money, but in the end someone has to loose some money. Typical gambling there.
Scam means someone (site owner or other) makes money, but in the end someone has to loose some money. The difference between a Scam and a Ponzi Scheme is the Scam doesn't warn you that you can loose all your money, or there is a possibility of the site owner making some slight changes in the percentages in fees to say "Double Dipping".

I've already acknowledged that by being upfront about what the game is, it makes it more akin to gambling. I still prefer to call it a scam just to help remind people that they are jumping into a Ponzi scheme (which I think on your definition can be a scam if the ponzi operator does'nt tell you that you can lose all your money). But really I agree with you that it is more accurate to just call it a form of gambling rather than an outright scam.
