Do you have any preferences in to trade the Bitcoin by a broker or by an exchange?

If it´s so, let us to know your opinion, by this more people can feed theirselves, write advantages or disadvantages you have personally when you trade.

I think in 1 advantage with exchanges. When you buy any amount in an exchange you can hold and to sell when price go up and if the price go down you will continue having the same amount of BTC. The opposite would happen in a broker, if you buy any amount, your account can burns if the price turns down enough.

Exchange, I have no need for a broker, I am more than capable of facilitating the transactions myself and brokers do not offer anything above and beyond that.

I prefer to trade in exchange because i get more high liquidity and low spread and my money not in risk with margin call because i can trade in exchange without use margin and leverage. Before i have been try to trade BTC in demo account of broker, because the spread and leverage too high i was get lose. And from that i can say trade BTC on broker has more risk than exchange.

An advantage in to trade in a broker is you can earn money when the price go down, in a "short" operation you can do it. Maybe there are people who don´t know about this because we are used to trade in an Exchange and by that way you just can earn when the price is going up. Smiley

It all depends on your experience and qualifications as a trader. The principle is the same everywhere-the higher the risk, the higher the profit. You have to make your choice.

I prefer to trade with beaXchange as I find it as one of the most reliable multi cryptocurrency 24/7 live exchange, https://www.beaxchange.com/. They have an intuitive trading interface, which makes trading a seamless process.
Further, they offer high liquidity and a unique risk breeze feature.

Why we need a middle man like a broker? Trading exchanges are very much accessible to anyone so I don't like the idea of a broker. Of course there could be an argument that there are a lot of newbies here and the possibility of a lost. However, even experience broker won't be a shoo for a successful returns as well.

So no, I'm not cool with a broker in crypto market. Trading crypto is a journey, so let everyone enjoy the ride, just saying.

Yes, very true. In this digital age, you don't need a broker to place your btc trades. Unless, you have no time to do it on your own. But I will not rely on a broker if I can do my trades. Better learn the ropes of btc trading instead of hiring a broker to do your trading.

In this case a broker doesn't mean a person trading for you, but a platform allowing you to trade cash settled instruments like gold/silver/options/futures/etfs, etc. RobinHood is the most popular retail broker of CFDs.

BitMEX can be seen as a broker too. Instead of cash settled instruments they allow you to trade Bitcoin settled instruments. In both cases (exchange vs broker) you depend on a centralized platform to trade on.

Then there are the more professional forex brokers where you can lose more than what you put in if the market turns against your positions. These are the platforms you should avoid at all cost if you're a small fish retailer.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

I think we should choose that safe option to trade BTC in Exchange. Because we can easily control our balance and make our own buying or selling decisions.
Broker is really a very risky game. It is considered a predictable game, and you need to know the technical analysis technique, otherwise you will quickly get poor because of the burning account and you will start to pay interest for exchange.

As far as I know there's a lot of forex broker who's also into buying Bitcoin for their client. And as @BitHodler has pointed out Robinhood can also be considered as a crypto broker, so it really depends on how you define "broker" in a sense in crypto. Because as far as we know, the setup is that you as a trader opening a account to a trading platform. Of course there is no broker in between because you directly transact everything, without any entities or individual in-between.

So there is a lot of pros and cons and if you are used to the old and traditional way of trading or investing. Crypto is very different from what we used to know and that is why it is more exciting to trade in this market.

My preference for daily trading is via a broker the reason is that candlesticks formed on MT4 platform is easier for my analysis as per technical analysis, Candlesticks such as bullish and bearish engulfing, pin bars etc are well formed invariably aiding Price Action while I found it difficult to do same on exchange platforms more so there are some customized indicators that works perfectly well on Mt4 these are useful tools that aids my trading decisions based on TA while this won't work on exchanges platforms however the spreads on many cryptos pairs are very wide thus price has to move in favor of the trader else losses will be incurred in most trades.

I still think exchanges are by far the better ones, I mean brokers are not bad and they are getting better by the day but if you can't trust an exchange how do you know you can trust a broker, they are far more dangerous in those cases. Plus I think OTC is getting more common these days considering a lot of people realized they had bought bitcoin when it was cheap and now they can sell it but there are issues of taxes and money laundering questioning and so forth which means people want to do OTC and not involve banks.

I don't know if brokers versus exchanges will ever be equal considering exchanges are far better but with the addition of debit cards like in coinsbank the amount of people using those places may eventually reach to a really high number unless exchanges do something like that as well.

I have never heard of a broker in crypto. Why would anybody need a broker to buy crypto for them unless they are illiterate or live in a country where crypto is illegal.
According to me, most of the crypto users are educated enough to buy crypto themselves hence exchange is the place for them to buy/sell crypto.

Its simple :
Exchange : You can control your asset, and you can send you crypto to outside of a exchange to your personal exchange.
Broker : Its only a digit balance, you cant control 100% because you cant send the crypto to outside broker. And cant using for transaction.

I choice exchange, because can control my asset.

Exchange will be better for me because I can do whatever I want at any time. For example, I can send my balance into my own wallet while waiting for the price to increase. Or I can keep holding it whenever the price of my coin decreased.

If you have good trading and experience skills, you can trade at exchange or broker. If you need transparency, I suggest trading at reputable brokers

many broker interested in crypto trading, they developt their trading platfrom so could used to trade in bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.and as you said in crypto exchanges we could easily controll our asset and account.meanwhile if using broker its risky that they will manipulate price in their platform.
Brokers platform is the worst platform you could ever use, when I use to trade using broker’s platform, I could swore that I knew what I was doing, but it seems the moment I make a trade movement, as if I am being watched, the whole thing suddenly turn bad, and that is when I knew the platform of brokers is usually being manipulated because that same strategy is what I use on other exchanges that worked for me.

So, I think it is just better that one use an exchange than all these broker’s platforms, and we have to also ensure that such exchange is a reputable one because we have so many unreliable exchanges too that do manipulate their platform too, but Binance is one of a very reliable exchange or huobi and anyone could consider Kucoin too.
