CoinCraft Rig status updates
Posted on March 16, 2014 by Giorgio Massarotto in Coincraft series, News
Revision 3 of the prototype hashing units for the CoinCraft Rig is now hashing at the expected speed. Production to be started in very short times.

After two past major revision of the rig hashing unit, revision 3 was completely re-engineered in order to address the engineering challenged posed by the very high mining density and the 24V power distribution system. The newest prototype board, to be seen below, is now successfully working at the expected speed. We are speeding up the production as much as possible in order to reduce the delays and shoot a video of a fully populated CoinCraft Rig unit as soon as possible.

Further updates will be posted once available, we are currently expecting the first rigs to be shipped in about 2-3 weeks from now.
This is the update, a vote can be put up (ie post in this thread your username / number of shares / if you want to proceed with a refund) to attempt to receive a refund from Bitmine.

While they're shipping units, they're so late, and there's enough momentum, that the Refund Request Form is going in tomorrow. I would've sent it tonight but I don't have a scanner to scan my ID which they're requiring for refunds.

The refund form says that the refund should be processed in 30 days. When it arrives I'll be sending the BTC to Thomas to deliver your refunds (minus a small refund fee). BM is doing a conversion so they're sending the current USD equivalent of the BTC we sent at time of ordering.

DZ.

While you're refunding R18 you can refund my R17 shares, as politely requested several times.

I have also PM'd both you and bobsag and neither of you could be bothered with the common courtesy of a response. A marked contrast to the prompt responses when I was buying.

I will never partake in any of your future buys, having lost BTC on your scams twice now.

We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated, governments in the civilized world—no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and the duress of small groups of dominant men.

As its said in the R17 thread multiple times you must email support (at) minersource.net with your order details / refund address philipma has a good topic that explains exactly what is needed

There's no scam here or in R17 (or in any other co-op Round). The refund paperwork for Rounds 7A/7B, 8A/8B, and 18 was sent to Bitmine.

Bitmine promises that the refund will be processed within 30 days. They'll be disbursed back to co-op members after that.

Hi DZ

I understand that you have decided to request a refund for the whole R18,
& we are receiving the original BTC amount that we paid.

just one question:

as per bitmain cancellation policy:
Quote
After the 61st day of late shipment, you have the right to request a full refund and we will pay you an additional penalty of 10% of the initial order amount.

will we (the end user) be receiving the 10% addition of our initial order - or will the coop keep that?
I remind you that you are already taking a fee for the refund

When it arrives I'll be sending the BTC to Thomas to deliver your refunds (minus a small refund fee)

Good question.

Short answer is yes, you'll receive this 10% extra minus a small refund fee from BM (a $30 administrative fee) and minus a small co-op refund fee (1.5%) on the remaining total after BM's admin costs.

Long answer: you sat through it all patiently and of course you deserve the 10% addition to your order(s) (minus the mentioned small refund fees). After all this waiting, widespread reports of underperformance of the hardware that has trickled out there have made prospects even dimmer as far as mining, so I think that if we get our refunds, we should all be happy to come out slightly ahead as opposed to the alternative.

Please have a little more patience when the refund does come through, although we'll try to refund based on earliest orders when possible (R7 first, R8 2nd, etc., based on Round dates of initiation as much as possible). This is a manual batch process and if we mess up we have no way of retrieving the funds except for the kindness of others (which has happened once).

Bitmine didn't take the money, you guys did the buck stops there. I'm assuming that's what a court of law would say, perhaps that's the next step that needs to be taken since DZ flew the coup.

Although the lack of progress & response from Bitmine
I still have confidence in the coop.

I do not believe that lashing out will get the desired outcome.

bobsag3 - please keep trying to get a response from Bitmine
& let us know if there is any progress.

When the sale of the hashrate was made, it was known that the funds were being collected by the coop to send to Bitmine to pay for the units, we are just a middle man of collecting funds and managing the machine when it arrives.

It won't, I don't get paid to be a part of the coop and it has actually cost me a lot of time and money, lashing out against me = me no longer caring. I'll continue working on getting the refund but my speed will not be as fast.
