Hi Guys,

I have heard about MEW only as ERC 20 wallet where I can save my tokens it there any other option too which you are using?
MEW is very secure till you have the key control but issue is there is no 2FA  type mechanism for better security.

Exodus allows you to hold quite a few ERC20 tokens. It is an amazing wallet.

If both the legal big tech criminals and legal government criminals can see your data, so can the illegal criminals.  Swiss based online privacy and data protection is the solution.

Is there any way to make MEW more secure. Like adding any 2FA or any way to add 2nd level security to the wallet?

I understand that you can connect MEW with one of the hardware wallets and make it secure in that way.

You can also connect MEW with metamask to make it more secure. There are training videos on Youtube that can help.

Im using metamask, basically just mew with more protection. You also can use imtoken for android or ios. Buying ledger or trezor is good tough, they can store almost all erc20 token.

The e are several ways to access your coins or tokens. As it has been resounded several times in this forum, coins are stored in the Blockchain.

I use Imtoken and MetaMask. But planning on getting a Trezor Hardware wallet.

As far as i know, metamask extension would be the best place to protect your erc20 based tokens,Because it is encrypting your private keys thru its wallet so that those hackers, and phishing sites wont be able to get your assets from your account as you wont need to put your private keys manually, best wallet? it would still be mew,or myetherwallet.

the safest way to hold your assets are in MetaMask.
(if we are talking about the cheapest way, because it's web/online wallet).
but it is recommended for you to hold your assets on your local hardware such as Trezor and something like that.
you do not need to worry about your assets because it's the safest place to store it(as long as you make it an offline storage).

MetaMask is still in the early development stage, some people suggest not to store ETH in bulk, but I am trying to understand how to add or connect MyEtherWallet to metamask.

Just use mycrypto.com, and try to encrypt it, that is the only way that you can be safe at all. Or just invest $100 of your portfolio in a new hardware wallet, maybe, it is the best investment that you can do after all.

I buy my self a nice trezor wallet, if you value your asset you better save it in safe place. It cost you not more than 200 usd, just dont buy a second handed trezor or  from ebay, cause maybe its been modified so it can stole your fund.

I am using metamask extension because it is very secured as it encrypts the privatekeys of your mew wallets, phishing sites will be blocked as it is prompting users not to proceed to those potential phishing sites ,and malicious websites that might steal your private keys,be vigillant and always look for the URL you are having so you wont get hacked.

Why would you use 2FA? When with MEW you are holding your keys and if they get compromised even 2FA can't save you from this.

Anyway here is the list of few wallets that will enable you to use ERC20 and Ethereum : https://guarda.co, https://enjinwallet.io/ , https://coinomi.com/, https://eidoo.io/ and hardware wallets of course

I do not use another wallet, because I think MEW is very good for storing ETH and ERC20 tokens.

Maybe you can try this similar alternative :

1. MyCrypto > https://beta.mycrypto.com/account
2. MetalVault > https://app.metalpay.com/

They are really good alternative to store your ETH and ERC20 tokens
You should try...

If you really need 2FA option maybe you can store your tokens on a exchanger wallet...
