Background:
I am a newbie and made my first purchase using a debit card to buy some Bitcoin on this site "https://buy.bitcoin.com/."
When I made the purchase I used the address "163UNyJnYuDw15PmYFMBkBKSsK5LbX43Yz" off my clipboard and waited ~24 hr (The wallet has over 100 transactions).
Funds for my wallet are still 0. https://imgur.com/a/Hsn6G7O
I believe while I was researching I might have copied a wallet addresses from a tutorial site (possibly?) and inputted that one. I looked through the send / recieve address logs and didn't find one.
Is there nothing I can do and just take the hit as a learning experience?

I don't know how things work at https://buy.bitcoin.com/, but from my understanding, you bought Bitcoins, and had it sent to your address, which is 163UNyJnYuDw15PmYFMBkBKSsK5LbX43Yz? Is it also a Bitcoin.com wallet? How much did you send? If it has been 24 hours then something likely went wrong.

1) You input your address and the payment amount, afterwards they charge your card and the coins are sent
2) The customer support is very wishy washy as if they think I will blame them for my mistake (99.99% sure I sent it to the wrong address)
3) The site only seems to allow addresses for Bitcoin core wallets
4) ~70$

My main question is:
Can I do anything about it based on the preface that it was confirmed and sent to the wrong address?

No way transaction can be reversed or you can do something in bitcoin itself  that will recover your funds.
Your only hope is to find the owner of this address and ask for return because of mistake. There is big chances actually when you know probably source of that address Smiley

whenever you copy paste a bitcoin address you need to double check it to make sure it is correct. check it versus your wallet and to do that you can simply check the first couple of characters AND a couple of ending characters. there are clipboard hijackers that can change the address you copy!
and as others said the transaction is final, the only way to get it back is to find the owner of that address and ask them to give it back to you.

What ticker symbol did it have? Are you sure you weren’t fooled into buying Bitcoin Cash by mistake as it is labeled as “Bitcoin” on their site and Bitcoin is labeled as “Bitcoin Core” which can cause confusion?

If you can figure out who is the owner of the address, you can always try to contact them. Explain your mistake and ask them to send the money back to you.

I believe while I was researching I might have copied a wallet addresses from a tutorial site (possibly?) and inputted that one.

A quick Google search doesn't reveal anything like that. However, the address shows activity going back to 2017, which suggests it isn't part of a newly generated wallet.

Do you have a transaction history from bitcoin.com? They should provide you a transaction hash and output address. Does it match the address you posted?

Is there nothing I can do and just take the hit as a learning experience?

If you sent the funds to an address you don't control, yes, it's gone. Bitcoin addresses do have a built-in checksum at the end to prevent "typo" kinds of mistakes, but that won't help if you copy/paste a valid address that you don't control.

My main question is:
Can I do anything about it based on the preface that it was confirmed and sent to the wrong address?

That depends where the address came from. Some malwares replaces pasted bitcoin addresses, so you need to pay attention. Is it possible you copied a deposit address from an exchange or something like that?

This is my further lesson to me as same newbie, but as so far as I know perhaps the wallet you use is not compatible or supported to the marketplace? Just guessing the possibility if your wallet address correctly put, just hope the customer service can be contacted to ask for their help. Keep contact the CS by any channel provided

Oh man, you should definitely try to contact whoever you accidentally sent to. Otherwise there isn't much of a chance of recovering it. Also be sure to keep your passwords safe. If you can't remember your password key, all your bitcoins will be lost to that wallet.

Lmfao that's disgusting. They're free to fight for their ideologies on which should be which, but they can't ignore or change the fact that BTC = Bitcoin and BCH = Bitcoin Cash. If OP wanted to buy Bitcoin and got Bitcoin Cash instead, he could probably take legal action. I would never touch Bitcoin.com so I wouldn't know how purchases there work, but that may explain why he didn't get credited.

Don't be in rush when making transactions always cross check before clicking the send button, a mistake made when making transactions may not be possible revised especially when it already on blockchain.
If you have not gotten your BTC by now,  there is 90% possibility that you must have provided the wrong wallet address while making the transaction. Check the wallet address you have in your dashboard if it same as the one you provide.

It is always advisable to learn from other peoples mistake.
