Zero Carbon means energy which results in net zero carbon emissions released into the atmosphere. This could include renewable energy from solar and wind, assisted with batteries to match supply with demand. Also energy from hydro or geo-thermal sources.

The Project makes it is easier for energy suppliers to compete with fossil fuels on price by allowing them to source their electricity locally from fossil fuels but then offsetting these carbon emissions by subsidising carbon reduction projects elsewhere in the world, using international carbon credits.

Zero carbon may also be sourced from nuclear generators.

They are really dragging this one out. The ico date isn't released because they most likely haven't received the amount of funds they want from the pre-sale.

And I imagine that once the ico finally begins, it will last just as long. This is why I am losing interest in icos and pre-sales. When there isn't enough investor interest, these icos/presales are dragged on and on.

how will the zero carbon project be applicable if the supply of electrical energy that distributed to society is entirely governed and managed by the government? because if I look in the picture how to work, there is a description of energy suppliers compete to become a supplier if it has zero carbon score credit

In the case of countries in which a consumer cannot switch energy supplier, a mechanism will be eventually put in place whereby a consumer can buy international carbon credits to offset their carbon emissions and be rewarded with Energis tokens.

Climate change is a global problem. The world’s politicians have been working on regulatory solutions to the
problem, the latest major milestone being the Paris Climate Agreement adopted in December 2015.
However, evidence provides support that temperatures continue to rise, weather systems are becoming
more erratic, Arctic ice-caps continue to melt, atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide are rising and
coal fire generators are still under construction.
According to Adrian E. Raftery et al., it now seems unlikely that temperature increases will be contained
below 2 degrees Celsius by 2100 but a more suitable planning benchmark may be a range of between 2 - 5
degrees.
“The likely range of global temperature increase is 2.0–4.9 °C, with median 3.2 °C and a 5% (1%) chance that
it will be less than 2 °C (1.5 °C).“
