I haven't found anything alternate to the myetherwallet, which is the one that I've been using till date to hold ethereum and ethereum based tokens. The accessibility and the security, reputation of this is quite big than any other ERC-20 wallet that were available in the market.

I would recommend metamask.io wallet, it is similar to myetherwallet in terns od ease of use but with the added advantage of using an extension to interact with different sites instead of a private key, that way you do not get expose your private key.

In addition to the current MEW, you might consider using hardware wallets for store Token as well as cryptos because of its high security. With hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledge Nano S, you can link to MEW to store crypto safely. You should use a hardware wallet instead of e-wallet.

I normally use myetherwallet for storing my Ethereum based tokens. I am from a country where the economy is really bad and cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology has being a life saver, but the recent hack of mew DNS servers. I fear losing it.
Please what are the best alternatives to securing tokens while storing them.
I want advice on the best alternatives to Myetherwallet
Metamask has been already mentioned here many times. But the security of Metamask wallet is similar to MEW, since the private key is stored locally on your PC or gadget and can be easily grabbed by malware. If you need safer solution you need a hardware wallet like Ledger.

I am glad to work with MEW so much, but if you really need in the alternative one, Etherdelta can help you here, it is quite good platform and you can trust it I am sure.

I'm using MetaMask to store ETH and tokens. I find this application quite safe and easy to use. You can give it a try.

I guess we need to look at Metamask if you have a computer / desktop to use if you have your phone with you, you can just download the simple Trust application. If you are not safe with this wallet then you can buy Nano ledger S or Trezor which is the best wallet to keep your erc-20 safe.

I am not sure if this is the best alternative. but I use the metamask plugin, a browser plugin available for Chrome and Firefox. Set a very strong password. And safely save your Password and Private Key.
the more sophisticated technology, the greater the risk of hacking.

I'm not quite an experienced user in crypto, but assessing the overall situation and moods of people, I will say that there is an alternative for Myetherwallet. This is a NEM-wallet and an EOS-wallet.

It is better to keep your tokens in a hardware wallet as an alternative to mew since you are always in control of it. You can also customize how you maintain your level of security as well.

Mycrypto desktop version, in my opinion is very convenient and reliable, it is developed by the founder of MEW, I think that this is the best option.
one founder of MEW I suppose, it's hardforked meaning there's still remaining founder of MEW that stick to the current wallet project they're in and there's some of them that decide to create new ones because they just can't get agreement with the idea behind the project anymore. But yeah, most convenient also secure I must say, no more risking ourselves to any phishing website and any complicated things.

To be honest, I do not know what could replace a great project like MEW for me, I think today there are similar services, but they still will not be as popular as MEW, for security, I still believe not hacked.

Yeah, the DNS server hijacking has got me back then. I lose about hundreds of dollars worth of tokens.
Maybe you should use metamask to secure your eth wallet address. You just need to import it once, then you dont need to using private key anymore.

I already wrote in the near topic - start using metamask! Forget what it means to enter your private key! And this is much safer than entering it every time on the site and hoping that it was not replaced or stolen by an external module. Maybe soon they'll crack the metamasc. But for half a year with him there was not the slightest problem!

I agreed that Metamask is a good alternative to MEW. I also suggest using a hardware wallet for better security, you can get one for less than $100. It support Bitcoin and some other altcoins as well.

Yes mew has some sort of attacks but i am quiet sure it is safe now . The main precautions you havs to take while storing Ethereum based tokens is you never publish your private key , json file or phrase anywhere and always keep  paper wallet. Now a days the best alternative for myetherwallet according to me is Trust Mobile Application. Though there a lot more mobile wallet and web wallet are in there

For MEW increasingly popular, the poor security of the user who made many hackers exploited. Has a lot of users lost coin, there are now a lot of privacy as well as for the cold, for Meta ... Users will be safer
