I think why the massive drop in crypto this year was contributing by the crowd the left also, anyone keen observed will notice that the huge pump last year attracted  a large number of persons evidenced by huge number of persons in most crypto telegram group, such telegram groups have considerably dropped in number of members also, a little proof that crypto is community based

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I believe that a community is one of the most important things behind a token / coin, that is outside of the company. Of course the actual idea, the token use and the team are more important, but without anyone backing the project, it will struggle to get off the ground.

Remember most of these startups are using the ICO to build and fund their idea, if that doesn't happen then how will they create it?

very important because without them, a project cannot develop. community is one of the things needed to survive when the project collapses. we take the example of ethereum, if without the support of a large community. when eth prices dropped very deep, I was sure eth would be a shit for investors and maybe the ETH would die.

A healthy and big community is very important for any project. A community could help to win any free listing competitions, could give a great feedback and help with the products development. It is a must for every successful ICO, because there always should be at least 15k members.

Hello all,

I came across this article that talks about the importance of a community backing a project, how important do you think it is? Do you think they can get by through large marketing budgets instead? and do you agree with the article?

I agree mostly with what is said in the article, but I don't know anything about the site they promote in the end and actually I doubt that this site can be the best place for collecting feedback about your product for example. Can't we use Google for that purpose much more effectively? But I'm far from saying that it can't be helpful at all for anyone. For example I like the idea of the "wisdom of the crowd". Indeed you can gather creative people in one place and make them work on ideas which can be really helpful for some projects.

Overall I think that community is extremely important for any crypto project. Only it should be a real community of people devoted to the project, not a bunch of bounty hunters with throwaway accounts.

This particular query may be clarified often, however, I believe which the same it's important to express again about this. which crypto-currencies these days possess a severe range, as well as each and every task, must have a little however neighborhood of individuals who does assistance those who are involved with this.

15k members is a bunch of members for a project, I noticed projects with an amount near that though they were fakes in the telegram groups.

Sometimes it is important, sometimes not, because I remember many projects with big and believing community which appeared to be complete scam...

I noticed that competing project with same idea will thrive with larger communities. sonm, golem, iexec and elastics, performing ones had worked on marketing there product and keep increasing the community. Even the so called better product had struggled because of its smaller community.

It's a useful article that answers the question. I have come across a lot of projects. Those who had good community support were able to succeed and the opposite was for those who did not have. Which means that community support is very essential.
