Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Hello, user giveaway scammed for 1.67 btc. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=278158.0. This is a topic i created. I was looking for US citizen to order me 5 prepaid debit cards. Giveaway agreed to do it for 1.5 btc. And dissapeared when i payed him 1.5 btc for the job and 0.17 btc for shipping. Here is a fragment of our discussion http://anonymouse.org/cgi-bin/anon-www.cgi/http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/4099/fiwh.png. He gace me this address 1D318Vto6dPtF477zysZUxV2Ru85aXPBo6 . You can check on blockchain here. https://blockchain.info/address/1D318Vto6dPtF477zysZUxV2Ru85aXPBo6 . I sent from bitstamp address. Here is the part where he says he received the btc. http://anonymouse.org/cgi-bin/anon-www.cgi/http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/1294/nsq6.png . Dissapeared after it. Didn't respond to my message, didn't send tracking information.

Yeah, it really sounds like the cards simply just got lost in the mail.

I can do it if you provide something of equivalent value. I just do not want to be scammed.
