Because everyone's moving relatively slow and the road would be quite congested (four people in a car takes less space than four people on individuals bicycles, and then buses... freight would take multitudes more people...), road rage, I'd guess, would be much more likely to result in gunshots. People pedaling slow would probably just be shoved off. We'd all have eye patches and gauze over our faces (if we aren't just shot to death).

I thought of this and there's an easy solution - full speed kamikaze towards the barriers.  They can take our bodies out but not our bikes.  Then you can respawn and repeat.

Not as good as all of us evolving on the conscious level though.

Yea...no. I was thinking more of military placed on rooftops or watch towers. Besides that, if an experienced military man armed with a semi automatic rifle with a good scope is stationed in a steady location and backed up by other soldiers, he can take out the driver far enough for the bike to fall and stumble without reaching the barricades.
