I have like.. multiple dreams that come back, sometimes the next night, or even a year later.
For example, I have an on-going dream that I'm in High School and I can't ever seem to get out no matter how hard I try.
This dream "continues" where it last left off, sometimes for days in a row it will continue, but other times it may be a year or so before coming back.
I've noticed this in the past 5 years of my life.
Am I going crazy?

i never have the same dream but i do have similar dreams such as being back in school. my coolest dream so far is when im flying. its strange but i can control my flight like a bird. once i looked up at the horizon and the sky wasnt blue it was colorful. i remember looking at the sky and thinking it was beautiful. i had a dream i saw god. i was climbing a mountain and when i got to the top i looked over the peak and there were all these people in line and at the end of the line was this amazing light with colors swirling and pulsing around it. there was no shape it was just a bright light and i remember having this overwhelming feeling that it was god.

I don't really have that, although often times my dreams will have a similar theme. My dreams are really out there and seem somehow dumb in a way, as if my mind is just to lazy to render something at all believable. For example maybe I'm at my house where I'm talking with a friend. Then I go to the store alone and right away I'll see that same friend there at the store when shouldn't have been there.

No, but I've had a couple of dreams that were exactly the same, and I did the same mistakes on and on again! (those were nightmares )

I remember having very similar dreams, but I can't remember exactly how they were, that's why I'm not so sure.

No you're not going crazy, your subconscious has just found a way of packaging your dreams in a way that you are comfortable with. It would suggest that there maybe some other commonalty, such as, they are all drawn from the same desire/fear.

That probably happens because the same thing is happening in your life over and over again. For example if someone was stressed out they might have a dream about being stuck somewhere and not being able to do anything about it. Do you regret anything you did in highschool, or did you hate it? It could just be a setting for some other situation too, like work.

I've had deja vu within dreams almost like I had that dream before even though I know I did not. Or dreams-within-dreams. However, I've never had dreams continue where they left off. It would be pretty awesome if you were able to choose what the "theme" of the dream was instead of having it be a stuck-in-high-school dream though.

I have this happen to me a lot. Today I've dreamed about a bomb going off in a building, same bomb I've dreamed some months ago. Same places, people, stories, just continuing later.

I can't say I have ever had that happen to me. Then again I don't remember most of my dreams so that could be why

I have dreams that continue sometimes. For me only happens if the originating dream wasn't too long ago.

This happens to me, though not lately; I'll experience extremely strong deja vu whilst in the dream and continue it as if nothing had interrupted it. When I wake up, I try to remember if I was inducing the deja vu or if the dream had occurred in the past and I was experiencing it yet again.
I still think, at times, I'm only imagining that the dream occurred on a separate occasion. I need to keep a dream journal.

Does your dream start with something like "previously on Dream" ?

I was thinking about making a youtube channel describing my dreams, as I have a shitton of them regularly. But then again, I'm not a random cute chick, so there would not be enough viewers to compensate for time wasted.

Freud called 'deja vu' pre-amnesia. You dreams contained something that was indirectly linked to something disturbing. Therefore in order to prevent your chain of thought wondering to the disturbing content, and ruin your good nights sleep, it deleted the memory of the experience. But you are left with the felling of deja vu as the chain of thought you were about to follow has been blocked by your subconscious.
