If you want something that works and is delivered sooner than later. You are much better off with Twin BitFury vs BFL any day of the week. How much will that BFL make you in 2 to weeks or more vs something in your hand in a few days? RMA wise I bet you dollars to donuts that Andreas will be responsive unlike BFL who rarely gets back to people promptly? Support? Andreas designed these units and he will be there to support them. BFL? Not as much. The quality of these USB miners are not going to give you issues but the BFL products unfortunately have had a significant number of failures and under performance well documented here in these forums. The PSU's that BFL supply are potentially a fire hazard given the post on one flaming out and almost electrocuting one customer be very careful. Price is not the only factor and BFL is not the company you are looking for.

You get what you pay for SwissMiner and when you buy with BFL you are taking a much bigger risk than with Andreas.

BFL Official Response

Quote
BFL Customer: Glad to see I'm not the only one with the same problem. I'm onto my 4th email to RMA and office but still nothing. Just going to keep trying to get a response. This issue has the potential to cause serious injury to somebody through them getting electric shocks. Are BFL deliberately avoiding this issue?

Quote
Slok: And what could bring a 5th email? Every new email just brings your case to the back of the queue again.

when i was pulling out the cable, i get shocked by the USB cable from both Jalapeno!

Hello,

I published a new post on the minecoin.net website about the firmware update for supporting the supply voltage scaling of the Bitfury chips. If you are interested, have a look: http://minecoin.net/firmware-update-for-voltage-scaling/

If you want to use the voltage scaling feature (which requires to assemble a resistor), you should update the Twinfury.

Maybe, some of you have already noticed that we lowered the price again for the Twinfury.

Can you please provide a link to download the updated firmware ? My old eyes can't spot the link for the mentioned archive Twinfury-Firmware.tgz anywhere...

Hello

I'm Vincent from China. I have electronic product factory and interesting to expand business to bitcoin usb miner product. After following your project about bitfury , I want to make this product for you and sell it together. I can help you make in batch on my cost. 0% investment from your side.

How advantage you got after let us join ?

- You can make your project on zero investment from now and zero invest for batch producing of the product you want to make.

- you will got money from each pcs of USB miner we sold out.

- you can sell in other channel by yourself but that buyer can not buy from you and sell back on the same channel as us.

How about this offer ? Please let me know your idea.

regards

Vincent

Hi,
i just bought a used Twinfury.
I installed the Driver on my Win7-PC and startet mining using BFGminer.

Sometimes a get a couple of "query timeout" Errors.
Is that normal?

If the miner is working the temp reaches around 70°C
What is the max temp?
What if it`s getting hotter then the max temp?
Will it should down by itself?

Do i have to set some Settings at the device-manager like baud, databit, Stoppbit, ....  Huh

Are there any BFGminer sepcific commands i have to use?
Or is there any Manual out there?

Regards
habich

I can answer that question.  You best need a industrial hub, i made a video last year unpacking mine. (got them from eyeboot.com)

Thanks mate I was originally just testing them to make sure that they worked since they were used but I figured that it was the power consumption that was happening making it not work properly and after a little google searching I came to the same conclusion that you did and already ordered myself a good industrial hub last night Smiley Thanks so much for helping me out though Smiley Cheers

The Dipo 19 or 10 port hub would be a good choice. They come with their own power supplies (110-240V) and all the cables you need so are ready to use out of the box. 10 port hub comes with wall mounts too.
