I dont think a bitcoin bull run will be driven by ethereum.  There is no reason to think that they would be tied together.  If anything it will be the reverse, it will be a massive bitcoin run that will drive the next eth run if at all there is another ethereum run.

Ethereum being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, still depends on Bitcoin to survive. Bitcoin's upsurge in price would allow Ethereum to reach new ATHs across the crypto market. But first, it would need to scale with the adoption of Casper PoS and Sharding. Otherwise, people won't have much interest into Ethereum after all.

Once this happens, we could expect the price of Ethereum reach at least $1,000 within a 1 or 2 years from now. After that, Ethereum could rise even further in price as mainstream business and companies launch their own dApps within it. The goal of $2,500 per ETH may not be farther than we've imagined if the aforementioned events take place in the future. Still though, no one knows what the price of Ethereum will be over time because of crypto's volatile nature.

Which is why, there's a possibility that we'll end up waiting for Ethereum to rise towards astronomical levels in price, longer than we've thought. As long as you buy more Ethereum while prices are still low, you'll be able to secure your profit in the future. Combining ETH and stablecoins seem to be the smart move nowadays to survive in this bear market. All in all, Ethereum will be here to stay no matter what its price will be within the future. Honestly I'd rather buy bitcoin at these low prices.  If alts need a bitcoin bull run for alt season to come why wouldn't you just load up on the honey badger itself.  Overall its damaging to be more alt heavy than bitcoin heavy in your portfolio.  Time and time again we have seen that.  If eth becomes $2500 than that means bitcoin has reached 6 figures.  No way around that.

If there is a big pump in the price of Altcoin then Ethereum will be able to reach such a high price, it is not difficult for Ethereum to reach the price of $ 2500 because now it is only a matter of time when that's it will start.

I dont get why peoe think eth will hit $2500.  Everyday as the circulating supply grows a little bigger, it will take that much more for eth to grow to $2500.  I would look more at the sats value and not so much usd since it's based primarily on a eth/btc pairing and not so much usd.  People have such high expectations in a short amount of time.

The age of ICOs is over so it is going to take a very huge miracle for Ethereum price to climb back to $500 take less of $2,500. Maybe in the next bull run, we will see some Ethereum price recovery but I don't see anything that will pump the Ethereum price to $2,500 anyway, which is a new ATH for Ethereum.

I know this is a mega thread and there a lot of conversation regarding it, but it just want to ask one thing to you, suppose they launch the next phase and it will carry on to the next blockchain and the current blockchain will be left alone, how do you view that as an investor point of view if you do not have a plan and keep on changing with every update, so what do you expect, people will invest billions after the launch so that the developers will make more money, it is not going to happen and the expectation will kill ETH.

It depends how successful the revolution of 2.0 itself.
If it's failed to develop and it produce many bugs and something wrong about the transactions network, it will be a boomerang for ETH and people surely will leave it.
I think new technology adaption is not easy to implemented and even it's sucess to implement, i don't think the users will confy with the new one

I don't think that eth's revolution could help eth to explode again in price because I often hear about the events of different projects, people compete to accumulate but as a result, those projects do not increase as expected, this information is so overtly public, people only hold and wait for a high price, the need to sell very little, the lack of resources to pump prices. ETH is also in this situation, people expect and hold but unfortunately, the general thinking of everyone will reduce the chance that eth can fly.

So if eth successfully transitions over to 2.0 then you think it is easy to get to $2500 from here.  Based on what, a smooth transition?  There is so much at play to make a coin whose valuation is already this high to exponentially explode to $2500.  Market conditions have to be perfect for this to happen.  Bitcoin 10x from here wont be as easy as when it 10x before, same goes for every other coin.  Nothing will be "easy".

Bitcoin seems to be a far better choice than Ethereum for a long term investment. However, it's the not only cryptocurrency you should consider for your investment as it's important to diversify in order to reduce risks as much as possible. Investing a little into both Bitcoin and Ethereum would allow you to gain steady profits within the next bull market run. For Ethereum to reach prices higher than its latest ATH, Bitcoin needs to gain a massive upsurge in price. Then, the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap would need to scale for the mainstream world. Once these events happen, you could expect each ETH being worth $2,500 and above within a couple of years from now.

As for me, I wouldn't worry much about ETH's prices in the long term, since it's already solid in development and innovation. With a proven track record of stability and reliability, Ethereum has managed to gather a large user base around it. This would keep it going for the foreseeable future. As long as you secure your investment into it while prices are low, there's a chance you'll become wealthy once ETH hits new ATHs in price.
