I don´t know if you have observed that Coinmarketcap is not very reliable to make decisions, this is just a screen capture. At this moment it is reporting the value in coinhub wrongly by a factor of ten, showing 7% loss instead of a 14% gain. Just be careful.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I do not know what your judgment based on, but I think you know that the price of cryptocurrencies fluctuates quickly and varies from platform to another.
At the end of 2017, the volatility was so severe that it could find a difference of more than $ 1,000.
Personally, I don't know the currency that you mentioned but compared the price of the site with the rest of the sites and didn't found any difference.

Coinmarketcap is showing something like an average price of the particular coin from ALL markets where is it traded.  Sometimes the exchange prices could be different which makes the average price inaccurate.
What about Helbiz. It probably shows it comparing to the time this coin is listed on CMC. If you open charts you will see that it was only listed somewhere around 5 a.m. I guess this is why the % change could be diffetent from the exchanges.

I do not know why you have problems say that this is not been used for the some people so for the better join you need to get the coingecko or other trusted crypto analysis as you asked mate.
Then I do not know that CMC is scamming the people with the incorrect value shows in the price chart.
If you think it is incorrect repute the coin matr. Do not blame the orginal of the concern cryto currencies price flcutuations.

I have the same presumptions on where CMC do make use of average percentage on all the exchange on where the coin is listed. We dont know whats actually with CMC with percentage differences but this isnt really a big deal to me as have been said above if you would try to check out on any exchange percentage difference you wont see theres no big price gap which you would able to worried about.

Sometimes CMC doesn't have support, don't fetch the data from some exchanges and thus value per one coin can fluctuate. However I find them to have pretty decent service as they are most popular out there. If you are looking for alternatives might wanna check these https://coinlib.io/ , https://www.coingecko.com/en

Of course that sometimes there are problems with showing wrong prices here and there it happens when for some reason their website doesn't work as it should be.

Base the price on the exchange where your coin or token is listed in. Prices will differ a little across different exchanges. Coinmarketcap might be basing their price and volume by averaging all the different data collected from all the exchanges.

Most of the elite trader will use price of trading platform where they gonna trade, the problem you have mentioned above is only common with coin that has very low to no trading volume and is only listed in few exchanges where one suddenly get huge trading volume other have just zero volume and huge price spread.

If you are trading coins which have higher daily average trading volume and is traded among big exchanges than price of coinmarketcap can be reliable.

This. I really don't understand why people keep basing their prices on third party sites that may or may not provide up-to-date data, while the rates of an exchange are the only thing you should be looking at. It's almost like we have to spoon feed people with how to behave and act properly in this market. Grow up and take some responsibility.

All third party sites are not reliable. They either aren't up-to-date, have broken scripts/api's displaying wrong information, on purposely display wrong information for whatever malicious reason, etc.

The only thing I use CMC for is to look what forks popped up and at what exchanges they are listed, and even then I know that the information they show me isn't totally reliable. Is that the fault of CMC? Nope. It's their platform and they can do with it what they want. If they choose to not list a certain exchange, then they don't. It's up to us to do proper research before diving into whatever we plan to do.

Exactly. Coinmarketcap just shows the average price of a particular coin. So the price is not reliable per se. Although I frequently check the price on the website, but it doesn't mean that they are very accurate, probably you can get at least an idea on what is the current price, so don't make decisions on what you are seeing in their but go to the trading platform to get a good grasp of the price depending on that exchanges.

Coinmarketcap, under my point of view, is meant to obtain a "general vision", but if you are into trading you always will need to use various websites instead of just one.

For the public in general, CMC is a great tool, informative and clear, and gives a good panorama, but if you want to specialize in trading, nor CMC, nor one exchange should be your font of information, but a combination of every piece of information you can get.
Regarding the probable influence of the "will" of setting wrong prices, I don't know, I just believe this is a "public" and a non-sophisticated tool for general information purposes only. This is not a professional one, and no trader should base any desition on it, but I get your point and this is a nice advice, for many users take too much serious the information in there..

Coinmarketcap was great but eventually it's becoming outdated. They recently launched their mobile app, finally, probably too late though. Everyone already uses some portfolio app for cryptos. CMC is used less and less because it doesn't really offer anything other than prices and exchanges, it doesn't even have a portfolio option.

I do not know why people started trolling Coinmarketcap from the past weeks. That too by the newbie and low rank on this forum. There are plenty of sites providing the same service what CMC giving so far.
If you do not like the site and find scams you can report about crypto listing site.
I see they have launched their application also in the playstore. Hope they will do good more in future as well.

I still think CMC is the most reliable at the moment. Its updates are good and reliable most of the times. Except a few due to different bugs

It depends on your personal preferences. I have seen quite some people speak of CMC as being trash, and similarly quite some people who say they love it. I'm in the middle of both options. It's good to have it, but don't take it too seriously.

There are too many variables involved making sure that these sources can't and aren't able to fetch accurate information. As long as you keep that in mind, there is no problem with CMC and similar sites.

People tend to get upset about everything quickly, while it's completely unnecessary. These sites offer an optional free service, so there is nothing that people can actually demand for. If you don't like it, use an alternative.

If you are not comfortable with Coinmarketcap, you can as well !make use of other coin what sites. This can also enable you to be able to compare and ensure you have the accurate figured. Prices can also differ from one exchange to the other. So, if such is the case here and there is a wide margin. If the margin is sdo wide, it is called an oulier.

Having the same way of treatment on where im really just on the neutral side which i dont trust those data completely but this site is one of the things i do make use on checking out average prices. You are right people way do took this thing seriously without minding that this is really just a free thing and should be thankful that we can able to see a compile list of tokens which are on the market and seeing into their current ranks and overall marketcap.Lots of alternatives though and its up to you which one will you use up.

It's because CMC put the average total gain/loss.
It might be IDEX & Bitlish turned out to be in a massive loss at that time which pulled out the 14% gain on coinhub.

coinmarketcap.com is just a place that lists names of coins with the basic information about them. it is not a website that you use to analyze or use for trading purposes at all. if someone is doing it then they are making a huge mistake! this website or any other website like it is not designed for that. they are information sites that you only use to find things such as the links to each coin's announcement, website,... their supply, max supply,... and even price but just to know how much some coin is worth.
for example in case of this particular coin in OP you use coinmarketcap.com to see if it is worth 0.1BTC or 0.00000140BTC and also to find exchanges that have this coin listed.
