Just to make sure I am not doing anything nefarious here.
This is an honest project and I am not mining myself with big hashing power.
There are only two small miners of mine with a few KHash, just to keep the chain moving at least for a bit (in case nobody else is mining).
Also, there are some older blocks in the log which have to be processed first. Then it'll be your turn. Please, be patient just for a few minutes more.

You are using ADDRESS:data:more_data

Only a single colon please.

The code I'm using has some flaws. To find a transaction type block number first. Sorry, but as I am not the maintainer of the project (Iquidus Explorer) I can't do much for now. I am using all the needed scripts as described in their docs though.

I also rename the shtcoin.conf to old so it doesn't run.

Thanks, I switched to difficulty 32 now. I just have a 15KH rate so I am not sure which difficulty to choose but I will see if I get some results now.

I don't know any other miner. Maybe other members with more mining experience could give you some hints.

But you should definitely try it once without config file. Just start from console. Type the whole command in. Others have already written command examples before. Just go back in this thread.

Although I've not planned to list this coin on an exchange, if the community wants to trade with it I'd try to register it. I would also use my ID to make everything proper. As you have already seen in the original posting, I am not hidden, so I would have no problems to try to register this coin as well. I hope you will also help me if there are any things that I can't solve by myself.

However, this would only happen if this coin gets real community who is taking care of it. I will not impose any "ideas" on you because I think that this is just another form of centralization.

I am happy to be only the developer this coin. I do not mine myself and I also don't own such hardware.

Many thanks for interest in and your offer to support SHT. Although this is a serious project with a development plan I must admit that I have not intended to use "bounties" as promotion incentives. I didn't expect much interest in the coin, but as I see there are some miners, users and potential investors talking about it. 

Therefore, just as I promised in my previous posting, I will adapt to new circumstances. Being a truly decentralized coin there will be no "good ideas" from my side. I will solely dedicate my time to development & testing of the coin. For non-hardcore development ideas, I think, it's best to let people (miners, users, investors) express their opinions and then decide in a discussion about the future directions.

So, I will setup a bounty fund to support the "spreading the word" about Shitcoin DeLuxe.

The best ways to promote would be via Twitter, different chat systems (Telegram, Slack, and Discord) and also Facebook.

As this coin is currently not on an exchange I can't estimate a "correct price", so we have to do a bit of unscientific estimation here.
The coin is capped at 84mil like Litecoin, so if we take this number and, let's say, make it 1000times less valuable than Litecoin right now, we could get some meaningful (but unscientific!) value.

How much do you expect for any of the mentioned "promotion actions"?

Also, we will need a proper way of delivering proofs. Screenshots & valid links will be mandatory. No fake accounts, no accounts with no or too few followers. No fake chats, no bots!

And above all else: no spam, because this coin should never be associated with spam or anything harmful. But I am sure you have the same opinion.

Btw. as I have already received similar questions via private messages I have invited those people to join us in the thread so we can find a good working solution for us all.

Just wondering if I can optimize it in some way, that's why I was unsure which difficulty to choose. Right now I am mining with 32 difficulty and my shares are accepted regularly. With 256 difficulty I am getting some invalid shares aswell and I read that this is not good for the network. I will keep going the next days and tell you guys if I was able to find a block.

I must admit I had the same thoughts when I started it. Being a developer and having never mined coins for myself I wanted to create a proper open source project with a clean code base + all the supporting tools (mining pool, faucet, explorer, tutorials). However, some people recognized a value in it that goes far beyond my own intentions. And because SHT is also a decentralized network one has to respect other people's opinions and intentions. Therefore I decided to do the "right" thing and support interested miners, users and potential investors as good as I can. This is spoken from my developer perspective, which of course is constrained like any other opinion as I don't know much about economy of mining, investment, trading and so on.

Well, this is how we got here. Now we have a Twitter account, a Discord server, several mining pools throwing MHashes at us, and we're currently discussing about bounties for people who want to spread the word about SHT.

Yes, I admit, I had the exact same thoughts when I started this project. And I am glad I got exposed to other people's intentions, plans, and decisions.

This is how decentralized networks work. No central authority to decide what's right or wrong.

There will also be a developer review, which I personally find OK.

I don't know what they actually mean with "review", but as I already stated in the original post, I am publicly visible and do not hide behind any nicknames. So I am fine with that. I have no problems whatsoever to represent Shitcoin DeLuxe there or anywhere else.

However, as this is a public & decentralized effort, we should, I think, discuss about the registration process first.

What should be done regarding registration costs?
Can we somehow trade our coin for BTC?

I think the only realistic way is to personally invest those 1.5BTC to register at Trade Satoshi. I doubt that anyone of the people here would be willing to participate with some of his/her satoshis to support the project. After so many scams, broken promises, and missed milestones from roadmaps, people have simply become more "resistant" to crypto-promises. And I understand that.

Indeed, crypto is full of surprises. 

However, I have now learned that even being a developer of a coin isn't that influential when it comes to decide what "real shit" is and what isn't.

And this is good! In a decentralized network no one should have the absolute influence. It should always be a result of many different, smaller influences which natually produce a viable & generally acceptable solution.

All in all, I am confident that this tiny community will soon become a bit larger and I will continue with the development of the mobile app.

People should know that I am still developing the coin and that I've never intended to create "shit" in literal sense.

As I have already tested the Lightning Network via Litecoin testnet I am pretty confident that's possible to "upgrade" the SHT coin, that is to make it capable of participating in the LN.
Although not the same chain as Litecoin (we're neither a complete clone nor a fork) we could, for example, take the Lightning's Litecoin daemon (written in Go language) and adapt it to support SHT as well. I have checked its source code and it's pretty straightforward. We would at least change the Blockchain rules + the Genesis block.

Regarding the name change, I'd have no problems with it. This coin, being a truly decentralized network should never be dependent on anyone, me included. Maybe I started it under this name, but if the community wants something else, then I'd be the last one who'd say no.

No, it's not. It's a fully functional coin. It has its own little mining pool, an explorer and a faucet (currently offline because there are no coins left). And unlike many other coins, I am not anonymous. There are no special "dev fees" or "premined coins for development" or anything similar to that. I am also not mining the coin. I don't even own such hardware.

In the beginning, after the Genesis Block got created I had to go around asking some people to use their GPUs for mining, at that time totally worthless, coin. When you check the time difference between the Genesis Block and the next few blocks you'll recognize a rather big gap. 99% of the block rewards went to the people who helped to keep the chain alive. Those 1% went to the bounty pool which is around 2377SHT. I use it to pay people for services, like helping in the Discord chat, creating graphics or similar stuff.  

Currently, I am working on the mobile wallet for android. It will take some time as I am developing the stuff alone and the code base I have here is rather old and must be updated to the latest Android NDK (C++ stuff).

I am also paying for infrastructure out of my pocket (four servers with original nodes, explorer etc.).

The coin is not listed on any exchange. As I am not trading myself and also not owning any bitcoins, it will take some time until any of the exchanges accepts us. However,  I think this won't happen any time soon. The community around the coin is rather small, so I doubt we can do anything from the outside to persuade them to list us.

But, honestly, I've never planned to make this coin available on exchanges. If there are people willing to make this happen, I'll gladly help with my ID and other identity documents.  

I am not a saint, of course. But at least I've tried to create a coin as transparent as possible.

It would be nice if you fixed the difficulty.  It's still listed at 331.063225.  The current block is taking 20 minutes.  Block 27913.

I'm sure this coin was a lot of fun mining before it was posted.  Update: block 27913 took 24 minutes to mine.

"Fixing diffculty" is not a problem to be solved by me or anyone else writing the software. In a decentralized network there is no a single instance who decides what "good" or "bad" difficulty is. There are Consensus Rules in this coin and if miners keep finding blocks at a very high rate the difficulty will increase after some time. And it will remain at this level until miners provide more GHz, so they can keep the current speed which again will lead to another difficulty increase, or they will have to wait for some time with their current hardware, so the Consensus will decrease the difficulty.

It's a question of economy, not software or some individual opinion.

My advice would be to participate in the mining process and be patient.

Btw. in the beginning the coin was mined by individuals on their GPUs and also by a professional mining pools. There was no premine or any other kind of unfair practices. It was also not mined "in secret" before being published. I consider premining, instamining and "private mining" unfair practices, but others might disagree with me. Currently, only those mining pools are still finding the blocks. So it's really up to the people to participate there.

There will be no name change as the community wants to keep the original name. I am fine with that.

Regarding exchanges, it's up to you guys who mine the coin. If you want this coin to be listed then you should find an exchange, or maybe several of them, and provide funds for listing the coin there. I have already invested enough of my time, energy and money to setup the original infrastructure, which I still maintain. As I am neither mining nor having any significant amounts of SHT in my possession, I have no incentive to register the coin alone. If there are people interested in trading this coin, which is understandable and I support it absolutely, then those people should participate in the registration. I will of course support you on that exchange by providing my ID and other identifications. I think a potential registration would be much faster & easier than with other coins as I am not anonymous. But I will not pay registration fees for people who have accumulated hundreds of thousands of coins.

I wanted to program a coin and have some fun. And I succeeded in this. It's fun to work with SHT and I will keep it that way.

If you guys want to trade the coin, well, do something for it.

Short update on the mobile app development:

a) problems with Android NDK fixed
b) secp256k1 library compilation also OK

The app now runs on emulator and on my own device without any problems.

The next step will be to test certain functionalities locally.

Then I'll come back to the community to ask for a few participants (only via Discord chat).

It might be rat poison, but it's not a scamcoin.  A name change wouldn't hurt, at least with a good name change.

I notice the difficulty is still too high with the lower number of people mining the coin.  Also the Smilingmining pool keep kicking people off.  It just happened and it's been happening for days.  This is causing further issues with low mining numbers.

We have a small pool too, so you might want to try to mine there. Check our original posting for info.
Regarding the name change, well, the community didn't want to change it. So the name will remain. I am fine with that as I'd never do anything that's against the community.

SCAMM , people wake up

I just registered at Google for $25 to be able to publish our mobile app. I am also paying monthly fees for the 4 basic VPS servers who run our nodes, the mining pool, and all the pages.
Last but not least, I am not anonymous, I am coding alone, without any external financing, and I don't even mine this coin.

Most of all a scammer wouldn't call his own coin Shitcoin.
Anyway I wouldn't take his accusations seriously because if you look at his posting history you will see that his last three posts were all very short scam accusation in different threads without any explanation. Looks like he is farming activity points.

I notice the difficulty recently dropped and the network hash is 26.9 Gh/s and rising.  Not sure where the 20 Gh/s is mining from.

You may want to update the difficulty.  There have been 37 blocks mined in the last ten minutes.

The Consensus rules regulate the difficulty adjustment not individuals. In our case it's 3.5 days for retarget. No single person could even change the Consensus rules. If miners decide to invest more energy into this coin it's obvious that they would mine the blocks at a higher rate, for some time. After 3.5 days the difficulty would adapt to new circumstances.

This is an honest coin project, so there will never be any change in the code that affects either miners, or users, or investors, without having a proper discussion with all participants.
For now, I see no reason to change anything regarding the difficulty adjustment.

Because of several important resons, we have decided to rename our coin.

Although the name is very catchy and we, inside the project, know what it's real meaning is, we have to accept the fact that new users might have different opinions.
And being an honest coin, with no premine, ICO and similar things, we have to do everything possible to attract new users, miners, and investors.

Currently, we're in the registration process at two Exchanges and before it get's really complex, let's do the renaming first.
