thank You very much for taking the time to answer my questions. I am getting nearer and nearer to my own faucet and not knowing what is awaiting me profit wise. terrible feeling
I know what you mean, however, don't expect to make too much of a profit from faucets. While it's not impossible to make a nice amount from them, you won't be raking in the money from day 1. Really you just have to start it and see how it goes. If it goes badly and you start losing a lot of coin then just lower the rewards/shut it down. A tip though, before you start advertising your faucet put a nice amount into your wallet (~0.01 BTC), this way you have a bit of overflow and don't have to worry much about your funds while you are getting your faucet out there. very helpful tips, very much appreciated. what I have in mind is to start a faucet combined with a game and high payouts and sure thing to fill the account/wallet with much much more as you proposed, thats because of the high payout I want to give

Solvemedia captcha is pretty good and it does block bots I think. Try the demo in their website. I have tried it and the bot was unable to solve it. Don't know if any new bot born now. ~~MZ~~

I have read the blog but I dont see a specific number(what they will pay) for eCPM, or CPM or solved captchas.
The eCPM is dependant on whether there are advertisers or not, and how much said advertisers pay. There is no fixed amount. would You be so kind to tell us the profit you did with adsense and now it is 3x less? just to get a picture what us new faucet owners is awaiting? thanks
It's the same sort of thing with this. Even if he did tell you what he made, what you make could be completely different depending on which advertisers there are and how much they are paying. thank You very much for taking the time to answer my questions. I am getting nearer and nearer to my own faucet and not knowing what is awaiting me profit wise. terrible feeling in addition to adsense (which is now paying extremely low comparing to end of the last year) you can use ads from other providers - check google adsense alternatives via google search) - although some of them have really high demands to let you join and some are just crap. also use adsense, bee-ads, anonymous ads for income in btc to cover your faucet payments. im waiting for bitsense as well, it seems to be good adsense alternative (paying in bitcoins) but they didnt open for new publishers yet and the guy didnt show up on bitcointalk for a week so i hope it didnt go bust as bitcoin revenue is now on downfall for everyone i would say..

Also, I made a list of ad networks for anyone that is starting a faucet and wants something other than Adsense. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=911720.msg10011807#msg10011807

Don't media.net limit what sites they let in, and are usually against faucet type sites?

However, there are some things that could work against them. Receive majority of their traffic from US / UK / Canada
This could be a problem, as a large amount of my traffic is always from Russia and Ukraine. It is usually followed up by the US, whether this is seen as a majority is up to media.net I suppose. Do not contain excessive advertising
This could also be a problem, as advertising is really the only way that faucet's make the money to pay their users. On top of this, the minimum payout is $100, which is quite steep for a faucet needing to get user funds.

There will be a withdrawal problem but it can be reached easily I think. ~~MZ~~

In normal way. Do remember, if the faucet gets high traffic, your account may be stalled or banned. ~~MZ~~

Hi everyone! I was trying to build a faucet, and wanna put some ads in it. I have a problems while trying to set some ads. I tried to put the ads code (from a-ads) to one of the blocks from the admin page. The code look like this <iframe data-aa='0000 src='//ad.a-ads.com/0000?size=250x250' scrolling='no' style='width:250px; height:250px; border:0px; padding:0;overflow:hidden' allowtransparency='true'></iframe> I clicked save setting, but I get this response Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /microfaucet/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Any idea how to solve this? I'm not a coder, and this is my first time. I'm sorry if this question sound stupid. Thank you! Edit: nvm, I can put it by editing the themes code manually.

You will have to add that API to your source code of the faucet. ~~MZ~~
