I am certainly intrigued but you seemed to have pulled down the link. Have you found 3 people already? The info was removed because we have no time to answer 100 emails per day about this especially because nothing will change for the users. Anyone who is interested to get a copy of the source code and run a similar service should send an email containing the following infos: - your Bitcointalk profile URL - URLs of the Bitcoin websites you own (if any) - how much you are willing to pay for the source code between 0-4 BTC You will get the source code, a link on the Microwallet.org to your service and support in the Microfaucet script. About 3 people will be chosen. Okay, this option actually looks very positive for the microwallet faucet supporters then

Because we have no more free time to run this free service.
Because we don't sell the domain and the user database. But the alternative services will be linked on the Microwallet site.
We plan to sell 3 copies because three services are better than one. And then link all the three on the Microwallet site and support all of them in the Microfaucet script.
First idea was open sourcing it, but there are 2 problems with the open source code: - too many similiar sevices bad for the users (hard to reach the withdrawal limit), 2-3 is enough - does not filter out the scammers
If you know a better method which will lead to 3 similar, reliable services and can filter out scammers you can tell it.
I know my question seemed quite offensive, but that was not really intended. I think such a crucial service like microwallet.org announcing to shut down without any previous clarification of what's going to come is quite ... uncool. Anyway, thanks for answering some questions here and your quite reasoned plan. If I'd 4 bitcoins, I'd jump in. Do you provide technical support?

There should be at least a few alternatives. Anyway, thanks for answering some questions here and your quite reasoned plan. If I'd 4 bitcoins, I'd jump in. Do you provide technical support? It's not 4 BTC, the details will be on the site tomorrow.

4. Microwallet site will be closed after most faucets switched.
I haven't seen any mention of what happens to user balances. Do users need to lower their withdrawal amount to get paid before microwallet shuts down, or will everybody automatically get paid their balance?

Public registration so that people can see who is holding their BTC?

Do users need to lower their withdrawal amount to get paid before microwallet shuts down, or will everybody automatically get paid their balance? Automatic if you have more than 5825 satoshi. If you have less than that you will able to withdraw manually to a new service for at least 2 months.

What do you think about requiring whoever runs the service to do it on a domain that is not privately registered? Public registration so that people can see who is holding their BTC? It's not a wallet it's a cache site. Users can't store bitcoins more than a few cents because withdrawals are automatic. If there are more services as a faucet owner you can choose the most trusted one. Or ask blockchain.info or any trusted wallet service to provide a API which can be used to send even 1 satoshi.

Haha, it was on a "down stream" before that, I don't think that a micropayment cache could make the BTC value go down, this is not Mt Gox. 4. Microwallet site will be closed after most faucets switched.
I haven't seen any mention of what happens to user balances. Do users need to lower their withdrawal amount to get paid before microwallet shuts down, or will everybody automatically get paid their balance? I'm also interested in know that, just in case I will stay away from microwallet for while (I lowered the withdrawal amount and I switched to BitChest and CoinBox faucets, but there are only a few ones, microwallet had more acceptance between faucet owners)
