Token on myetherwallet but not MetaMask

Hi everybody,

I have a question: I sent some tokens on my wallet MyEtherWallet. When I load them I can see them on MyEtherWallet but they don't appear on my MetaMask account. Any ideas of my mistake?

Did you send them to Myetherwallet when It was linked to MetaMask or you actually sent it to a wallet that you created in MEW. If the latter, then there is no reason on why you should see it on MetaMask.

Do you see a balance of 0 or the token isn't even showing?

Maybe you need to add it manual, go to tokens and click add token, just paste your token contract address and rest of it will automatically filled.

On MEW it's written 1000 FACE* and on my MetaMask 0 FACE (I tried to add these tokens manually).

When I go on https://ethplorer.io/ I see that the transfert is finished.

You need to be absolutely sure that it's the same address. It's likely that you created a new address when you started MetaMask. It's usually called "Account 1". You can import your other addresses but then you need to switch in order to see you balance, even when you added a token manually.

In this case copy the destination you sent to right from the ethplorer.io page and use the same ethplorer to check this destination address to be sure of the balance, if ethplorer show the destination address's expected balance correctly, then you have to carefully compare it to the address you are checking on your MetaMask, also like @mithrim said you might need to check your MetaMask correctly to see if you have more than one address there and switch to the correct one that correspond to the destination address you saw on the ethplorer.io

Probably, you see token on your different account(created when you first time installed metamask) check this picture for example, and make sure you choose the right account.


If you already in right account but balance is still 0, you need go to sent page and back to your token page again. Sometime you need to refresh it.

I finally found the problem : I didn't choose "Main Network" on MetaMask. When I clicked on it my tokens apeared.

The only difference now : on MEW I have 1'000 FACE and on MetaMask it's written 1000000 FACE^^.

My problem is solved anyway.

You have to add tokens manually on metamask for them to be visible. Get the contract address and decimals for you to be able to do this

Exactly. If you want to see your tokens in metamask, it is best to transfer them to your metamask wallet then you will see your tokens on metamask.

Have you add the address on metamask. It must first be added onto metamask and your tokens on all the accounts will show when you click on the right top most of the metamask.
