You'll probably be able to tell who is using windows vs. linux in this thread Smiley

I restart probably monthly and restart my asic cgminer app itself more often than that due to stability issues.

Implying one OS is more stable than the other?

Both Windows 7/8 and Linux variants will easily run 24/7/365 when being used as pure miners.

I restart it like once a month or so , but not because of software but due to the dust accumulation in my rig (open case) , I live nearby a huge construction and a lot of dust is coming through the windows every day. So to keep the temperatures down, I power my 3 miners off and clean them.

Do people still mine on their computers?

I think people mine more than ever on their computers because of the recent boom in alt coins. For all i know they even buy gpu's again  Kiss

The way I abuse my raspberry Pi, this has to be some sort of record. Shouldn't have to reboot it ever theoretically.

Never! Raspberry Pi here.  Only when I need to move the miners for solo mining on my main PC.
