To keep everyone up to speed on the staggering growth we have had and what its affecting and what we are doing.

The logouts are due to a couple factors no one right answer.
1. Inactivity
2. High traffic load has been booting users
3. In some cases traffic load was so high DDOS protection service has kicked in. We are working with them to prevent this in the future.
4. Some session tweaking vern is doing should help for a bit.
5. Exponential User growth.

Some common questions about the logouts and answers.
1. The new site logs me out all the time? In reality the new site is more efficient at handling sessions the issue is the number of new users has almost doubled in 6 days.
2. What are you doing to fix it? We have already brought up one new server and purchased 5 more servers. We are also looking locally to see if there is a faster option.
3. When will the new servers be up? As soon as we get them in we will add them.

Why is it suddenly so crazy and why didn't you plan for this?
1. We planned for some big growth double in fact. We have had about 8 times that growth
2. Why are so many people signing up?
a. Wall Street Journal
http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304607104579210051252568362
b. NYtimes article http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2013/11/24/in-bitcoins-orbit-rival-virtual-currencies-vie-for-acceptance/?_r=0
c. Closure of competitor MCXnow had over 10000 users many of which have signed up with cryptsy.com
d. New policy by competitor to limit chat based on holdings has brought many users to cryptsy.com.
e. Bitcoin price being over 900 and now over a 1000 has led to MANY new entrants into crypto. We expect TV media to start hitting it hard again causing even more growth.

We at cryptsy.com are working very actively to resolve this. Thanks for your patience and look forward to fixing this issue soon!

Sucks you guys can't keep up with the growth, I bet you're losing a good amount of potential traders through this.  I have no doubt you guys will get it fixed soon though. Smiley
Make vern way overshoot potential growth this time! The other exchanges seem to be handling it fine.

Haha thanks for the support! We planned to double our user base over a month not triple it over a week. But wont make that mistake again.

Keep ordering servers as soon as those arrive, I'm pretty sure that the growth won't stop or it will keep increasing. After BTC-e, cryptsy is the solution for alts (mcxnow shutting down). Besides you have the biggest altcoin list, everyone will jump on it.

You will need staff (mostly moderators). Hopefully the support stays the same, nobody wants tickets that take days to get answered.

Vern own a help desk company as well they have joined the team to triage tickets etc. So 8 Help desk personnel now average response is 2.2 Hrs on a ticket of course some take longer but 2.2 is the average. Also added one moderator already and have a couple guys I'm contacting that I would like to join the team.

Thanks for the great info!

In other news, Cryptsy Stock is trading higher than IPO price. If you haven't done so, pick some up today before it goes TO DA MOON along with all the other altcoins.

Keep saying security issue after I'm idle for a while and try to access my balance or a market, which it logs me out.

I sent some PTS to the deposit address hours ago and I still don't have any confirmations of it.

Not sure if that is on your end or my end since I have never had it sit at 0 confirmations so long before.

PTS currently has a block that is taking forever. Hopefully we will get it soon and move on. I don't think it is a Cryptsy problem.

BitJohn, if you get fiat on the site you better plan for 20x growth.  Smiley

Getting a lot of requests on how to fund your cryptsy account to do so simply do the following

First you need to buy Bitcoin with USD we don't offer that yet (coming very soon) but I would try Campbx https://CampBX.com/register.php?r=71W7SUaY6y9 or Coinbase https://coinbase.com/?r=527817fc6190a6fee60000d4&utm_campaign=user-referral&src=referral-link. Using my referral will save you money on commissions if you want to use it.

To add Bitcoin (BTC) to your account simply do the following:

1. Click the Balances tab
2. Click the BTC Action button
3. Choose Deposit
4. Generate address and send the coin to that address.

Again thanks for using Cryptsy.com!
