Electronics Honey Baklava Bullion Some guy a while ago bought a pizza for 10,000 BTC( Worth 5million+ now), even though it was worth about $40 then. Lawl.
They weren't worth anything at the time (early 2010.) That's the very first recorded Bitcoin purchase, and it basically set the initial price for a bitcoin at $0.002 each. Quite a steal in hindsight. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

Bitcoin is the ultimate freedom test. It tells you who is giving lip service and who genuinely believes in it.
... ... In the future, books that summarize the history of money will have a line that says, “and then came bitcoin.” It is the economic singularity. And we are living in it now. - Ryan Dickherber... ... ATTENTION BFL MINING NEWBS: Just got your Jalapenos in? Wondering how to get the most value for the least hassle? Give BitMinter a try! It's a smaller pool with a fair & low-fee payment method, lots of statistical feedback, and it's easier than EasyMiner! (Yes, we want your hashing power, but seriously, it IS the easiest pool to use! Sign up in seconds to try it!)... ... The idea that deflation causes hoarding (to any problematic degree) is a lie used to justify theft of value from your savings.

A $5,280 gaming computer. Every single part paid for in BTC.
That's top dollar for a gaming rig. Every single part...You are saying the parts cost that much and you built it yourself? Sound like a wild time...

If you are in the US, good luck paying capital gains taxes for all that ...
Most people in the U.S. with "off the book" gains rarely do that. It'd be like paying sales tax on your yard sale profits. Now, if someone bought a yacht....

I commissioned a digital painting from a guy around the end of 2012, I believe, for BTC3. At the time, Bitcoin was around $30, I believe.
At today's rate, I paid $1,751.31 for that painting. And I don't regret it at all. It's fantastic to see how far BitCoin has come in just over a year.
I still have that painting on my computer. At some point I'd like to get it made into a framed poster for my office wall. It'd be a good story, I think, to bring up the success of BitCoin from when I was first introduced to it.

I traveled back in time and used my Bitcoin to buy slaves, then I traveled forward in time to the nightmare world of the future and forced those slaves to build me a time machine so I could travel back in time.

Just yesterday I got some domains, a year VPN subscription and some website hosting.
Its great to see some of the longer term websites accepting Bitcoin actually sticking around as quiet a few have fallen for one reason or another so it just shows the ones that are still around are run by developers with conviction and passion for what they do.
