It's still profitable, at least for most people in US paying 11 cents per watt. I see no reason to stop mining.

Shut your mouth and besides you are making global warming worse.  Will someone please think of the polar bears.

stop mining you are killing him

Hmmm...I wonder what Polar bear tastes like.  I bet its got a gamey, fishy kinda taste.

nice picture ^^

Nice? That's one of the saddest things I've seen. That poor bear...

And it's unlikely many people will just stop mining. As long as theres a little trickle of profit.. there will be mining for it.

I would think that as people see the difficulty dropping, some will likely take advantage of that and order more GPU's, which would then probably cause a small increase on the next retarget.

Nice logic...  I'm sure people are running to add capacity to the network now that it's going to drop 8%...  Who cares that the price of bitcoins has fallen like 30% since the last difficulty.  You can get more coins now!!!  They aren't worth as much as before the difficulty started dropping, but still... More coins!!!

I'm not going to add any more miners for awhile but If you think bitcoins is going to be successful in the long run there's nothing wrong with this thinking. Just don't expect good profits short term.
